  1. http://www.blogabull.com/platform/amp/2016...n?client=safari Poor Steve.
  2. I think we should really get rid of the townhall format. This works better.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 05:03 PM) Otoh, the Marlins have two more World Series trophies than the Tigers in the past twenty years despite those massive Detroit payrolls...would they rather have a World Series win or Hall of Famer in Cabrera? Their world series rings were pre-cabrera trade, so why is that a choice they would need to make.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 11:56 AM) It will look a bit out of place with what is around it, but it looks like a nice building. I like it. especially lake side, you are usually taking a long view. It is not THAT far from taller buildings, and it makes sense considering nothing can build in front of it to add height.
  5. Man, Newt Gingrich advocating investigating the Clintons, this is some pretty damning stuff
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 03:19 PM) If a Sale or Q trade worked out the same way the Miggy trade worked out for the Marlins, there would be a lot of unhappiness. There is risk in everything, including keeping Sale and Q on losing teams with possibility they get injured.

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) Oh s***, the "unexpected Tesla reveal" tonight, which will be in just under 4 hours, is Model 3 Part 2!!! I'm losing my s*** right now. Most of us thought Part 2 of the reveal would be sometime in summer 2020. Weird how there wasn't much leading up to this, and by all rights, it's a much quieter reveal than part 1 was on March 31st, but still, I'm absolutely paralyzed with excitement to see what my future car will look like. :o :o
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 01:57 PM) Plus Dombrowski has a history of selling to get what he wants. I was going through his trades though and man he made a lot of good ones. There were not any desperate "Shelby Miller" trades in there.
  9. The only thing with Buck is sometimes I find his manner of announcing dispassionate. Really big triumphant moments are just met same as any other.
  10. This is my favorite Coz [ 10:04 PM ]: I feel stupid that we thought they were good enough. I just saw Bryant swing and miss at two fastballs in the strike zone. That's not good enough.
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 12:47 PM) Boaty McBoatface I still laugh every time I think about that, and then cry.
  12. https://twitter.com/zachhaller/status/788761831376498688 Why isn't the media covering that Podesta was SIGNED UP for the new york times newsletter first draft? This bias is insane.
  13. This looks sharp: http://chicago.curbed.com/2016/10/19/13330...date-renderings
  14. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 09:56 AM) Recap: O'keefe exposed some things, failed miserably at others. Dems practiced shady to illegal actions. O'keefe and his team also did some very shady to illegal actions to uncover this material. Foval is an asshole, glad he's gone. Trump's spokesperson claims he's a genius. Ugh. Considering the amount of O'Keefe videos that when the full edit arrives vindicates the person involved yet still ruins the career of the person involved, I would not jump to conclusions that any shady or illegal actions took place. What I think of
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 09:51 AM) But apparently he can be a young Michael Carter-Williams You lose your "young card" as soon as you have hip surgery
  16. The meatball in me says that while Arrieta and Hendricks are great pitchers, they are NL fools gold that aren't on same level as having a Kershaw/Bumgarner/...Syndegaard (even though they will certainly get chance in their playoffs of becoming the stopper that randomly comes in late and has success) Just a bunch of fooools gold.
  17. The only thing with Urias is how deep will he go? If he only gets to 5th there's a lot of opportunities there, especially with Jensens 1.1 innings pitched last night.
  18. Well if Don cooper said something about unrelated players.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 09:16 AM) This 100% sounds like David Haugh DING DING DING
  20. It was a confusing sentence. And, I mean, it's not like there wasn't a whole diebold conspiracy for 2000 and 2004.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 09:09 AM) No, i dont remember this They were high school teammates so there were constant cheerleading articles using flattering remarks from Leonard acting as if Snell could have same propulsion to star, but he never made it to competent bench player.
  22. It's amazing how quickly the trib columnists start wetting their pants and fall back into their cynical sniping of the players/coaches decisions. Went from being so annoyed at the ridiculous tweets like "Lester could have chosen to join the Giants, instead he chose a chance at immortality" to now "Madden tried to get too cute, and now he needs to get smart"
  23. Remember when Tony Snell could be a young Kawhi Leonard thou? Miss those days.
  24. Last year's team certainly didn't scream "relying on Ginobli and Duncan"
