  1. I don't think it has anything to do with education, tbh.
  2. NRA not commenting on this.
  3. Sure. My point is this. Sanders has some nice ideas but made a lot of hay about being generally around powerful people as he was off in vermont playing hackysack with burlington coffee owners. He acts like being at the march on washington makes him MLK, and he acts like standing behind hillary clinton on stage makes him the architect. Healthcare reform was very important to me in 2008 as it was finally attainable and I was all about reading about why hillarycare failed only to find Obama make the same mistakes. But in all that reading I never once came across Sanders name as some great advocate or important role player int he legislation. So while it may be a lie, in that sanders one time stood behind her, it's the truest lie I've ever heard. Sanders was much more relevant in 2008 pushing for single payer.
  4. I don't know what you think you are refuting with that? That sanders was the real architect of the early 90s legislation known as hillarycare? Is that your point?
  5. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 12:33 PM) You know what's really f***ed? When Hillary called out Sanders on "not being there for health care reform in the 90's" when he was like literally standing right behind her...I think she even thanked him in the damn video that was circulating...and her supporters still all pretend she's legit. What a complete s***bag. We all need to stop defending s*** politicians that don't care about us. And yes, I put both Trump and Hillary in that group, amongst many many others. I'm not even a fan of Sanders socialist leanings, but I'd be willing to bet anything he cares more than either of them. Even I would sooner see him as president than what we're going to get. There were many major players for health care reform in the 90s and Sanders was not one. I'm sure she stood in front of a lot of people as a first lady. So just to be clear, Hillary actually tries to get health care reform done 20 years prior, leads the effort, but she doesn't care, but Sanders goes and fights civil rights in the heart of Vermont but he cares so much more. Got it. Wellp, she may not give me the feels that Sanders can, but she does know legislation and can put together ideas to help a lot of people.
  6. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 12:26 PM) Has Hillary "Superpredator" Clinton released a statement on the recent murders of black men? Do you not have access to Google?
  7. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 11:46 AM) So what is "Hoiball?" For a week or so ive been hearing Fred wants to run a downhill, free flowing, aggressive offense. Then people make it seem like "Hoiball" is a heavy 3 point shooting team. Those seem like 2 different things. Which is it? Is the downhill thing I keep hearing new? Downhill and freeflowing often require space. Why people are critical of Rondo/Wade/Jimmy is that all 3 require ball in their hands for much of the possession (Rondo has an insanely high usage rate) and neither are good shooters (Rondo/Wade). And while Rondo can make some nice long outlet passes he is not a fast pace guy. He slows thing down and waits for a pass. I am excited at possibilities of Wade showing Mirotic how to flop.
  8. Tasers killed like 3 people when I worked at the paper (read this as I remember 3 stories in a relatively short time of tasers killing people).
  9. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 06:35 AM) It's the 24/7 in your face news cycle. Without bothering to research this statement, I'd be willing to bet these types of incidents are way down from their peak, but you wouldn't know it based on the endless bombardment of these stories. We wouldn't be able to know because for some reason we don't track these statistics. We have estimates put together from articles and self reporting.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) Yeah, so hillarious and awful.....internet trolls everywhere won, oh wait, he signed with the Bulls. On the bright side, anytime I have a delayed flight, somewhere in between my annoyance of the delay, I will laugh and think of you bmags and your rant against the Bulls front office. I never claimed flights don't delay. I claimed that front offices that are in major free agent meetings don't miss theirs to a flight delay when there are clearly many other planes that were not delayed, or you go the night before. This is the NBA, they just signed a 24 billion tv contract. They can fly charter to visit players in the hamptons. It is not comparable to an accounting firm. I don't really consider this winning. But I pray this "recruiting angle" works, because this is the worst roster construction for modern times. Even if it explodes and Forman is fired, it means we will be unattractive as a destination again. But perhaps we'd get a good draft pick in a good draft.
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:27 PM) It's obvious the Bulls' FO screwed this whole mess up as a result of not being able to make it to the meeting in NY. Yes it was a bulls*** hilarious moment from a front office full of them, like when they set out to get younger and more athletic and then signed wade and rondo. Shack wins again!
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:04 PM) 2nd round picks free up the most cap room. Yeah just talking swapped picks or rights, but to your point not sure that matters on cap because that would be next year.
  13. With bidding war on them wouldn't be surprised f there were 2nd round picks or more
  14. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) Considering how much you hate Mirotic, I fail to see how that'd be a bad deal. For the Kings it would be a bad deal. The pick they get back is basically just guaranteeing they don't lose it. I can't imagine that's the type of assets they'd want.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) Wade makes the rondo signing so much better. Rondo needs someone like a kg or a wade in there. Its like having an older brother who will beat his ass. I actually do believe this is true but man is the shooting horrendous.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:35 PM) Now give the Kings back the pick they owe us, Mirotic, McDermott, maybe Grant, and some picks? Edit: for Cousins THat would be a terrible deal but they are idiots so whatever, I have to believe in something to get this malort taste out of my mouth.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:29 PM) Bulls must have something else up their sleeves, right? Like what? They are maxed now.
  18. Guessing Jerry is going to lobby to eliminate 3 pt line in the next rules committee meeting.
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:01 PM) As dumb and pointless as itd be, Wade coming here would be oddly fun. I honestly think it'd change what players think about the Bulls. The deal for Demarcus cousins and let him Chuck threes. LOL this would be most hilarious team ever. Hoiball. Rondo dribbles for 15 minutes while Wade claps at him frantically before he sends it to boogie for a 3 pointer.
  20. Please, please go back to Miami. Please.
  21. I miss all of Anderson's best games
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 05:41 PM) The thing is they will still draw 20k a night next year. Bulls fans are like Cub fans. I don't know. There are 40 bulls games over what, 6 months? 20k per stadium, games always on weeknights or weekends. I'm amazed there are cities where they don't sell out basketball games in the NBA. If they can't support that there has got to be places that can. There is no way to hit JReinsdorf in the pocketbook with the bulls. Their global pull is too great, and the money that arrives too guaranteed. But if Virginia McCaskey can be swayed by having a season blow-up to laughingstock status, maybe Jerry can too.
  23. Pineda sucks but has a good fastball.
  24. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 04:50 PM) LOL. So no one of consequence, just internet trolls. Gotcha. If I were GarPax i'd be worried that people leaving comments on blogs are not pleased. I'll take YFBB and Ricky over KC Johnson anyday. Blogabull is by far the best Bulls news site. Twitter, yes, I guess if you follow trolls, but tweets like this that come out after were commonplace: https://twitter.com/ChrisKuc/status/750761110681165824 But yes, if I was Garpax I would be worried about how fans are viewing the organization. The comments sections on SBnation sites are not different than this message board.
