I'm going to guess the bosox hate this deal by year 2.

I don't know. When you ask what one of the worst things an administration can do, it's hard not to say help cover up a murder.

Chicago has a lot of unique challenges but this is not one of them. This issue of it being impossible to hold police accountable for grievous actions while on the job is not a Chicago thing. It's obviously very difficult, but you can isolate changes that can fix it without throwing up the hands and saying "this city is so corrupt!". It is, but, at one point McCarthy and Rahm were "outsiders".

I was on a flight to mexico one time and a bunch of the flight were old men who loved the history channel. They couldn't stop talking about the aliens building the pyramids.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 12:27 PM) I watch NFL Network's highlight show over SportsCenter to avoid the whole East Coast bias. I do agree that the commentary is worse. Why are they all talking over each other? The poor main guy trying to announce and they are all commenting on some inane crap. I thought they had the wrong feed the first time I listened.

I avoid plane conversations like the plague.

He deserved to be fired for his terrible performance, but highly doubtful new police chief puts in new reforms to help prevent systemic cover ups of overreaching actions of police. I do not see how anything other than a civilian review board can help break this. Civilians are already very deferential to police defense in all trials, the "witchhunt" angle certainly seems like an exaggeration.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 10:14 AM) A freaking organ? People will be lined up around the block to look over the organ thousands of times. It is good to hear Nancy herself is the one donating it for charity. Why hasn't anyone questioned where it even was if it would be such a big deal to look at? Let someone buy it, and help a needy kid or family. LOL

I don't think I've ever watched NFL network highlights before, but watched these to see what happened in games last night: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlig...owns-highlights Try to listen to that commentary and not cringe.

I was surprised Hinrich did not play. Was he injured recently? y I do not like what I hear about Dunleavy. The back is not a good injury for an aging player. Dunleavy was so important to the offense last year, I was really excited to see him in Hoiberg's system to move the ball around.

It was a sight for sore eyes. A very short bench killed today. These bulls are having success with great defense and bad offense. Jimmy played 40 minutes. Beat a better team at home. It's a new era.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 30, 2015 -> 04:25 PM) Why would Big 12 want another Texas team? I think any conference should like a texas team. They provide reach into a huge recruiting market and add a lot of money.

Honestly I think the league has just made it impossible to officiate. They could increase training or incentives but until they simplify their rule book stupid stuff is going to happen.

I actually wouldn't mind doubling down on the rotation but am not sure I'd like to trade our weak farm system for it. I also don't find that package appealing at all for miller if I was braves. I'd prefer if we go this route to hunt these mid level sp pitchers and hope for the best.

Oh what a joy that will be to get bullied around by texas.

Gronk did not tear acl/mcl, just a sprain. Crazy to see those reports and then walked back. Can't imagine being a pats fan there.

The story pivots so much from murderous isolated contest where goal is to survive to a wide-spanning "win a civil war". In reality the third book could have been 5 unsuccessful books but eventually you run out of reason for her to be in the games. In lord of the rings, you have a single goal (destroy the ring) that can have so much happen along the way. In Harry Potter, its kill voldemort. These are simple acts that are your ending. Hunger Games could have resolved with the civil war being a handwaving moment "everyone rose up, the city fell in days", but instead they made the plot the civil war and it was a mess. The movie could have changed that but it didn't have the guts.

Kabul embassy warning of credible threat this morning. There have also been some very interesting articles on "why belgium" and how the dysfunction of that government has made it easier for their radical cells to thrive. It is likely that belgium and french radicalism is fairly equal in numbers, but the belgian government is not capable of handling and preventing anything due to federal/local dysfunction.

Surprised Herman stayed at Houston.

Cool points Greg.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 30, 2015 -> 08:33 AM) THIS is what people should be protesting about. Whats preventing you?

Discussions of city council holding a no-confidence vote on McCarthy. Also movements against Anita Alvarez to step down.

Barry Odom is the leading candidate for the job and there hasn't been a peep about whatever you are talking about greg. All of the hypotheticals about how a "group" will respond, it may ease your concern if you actually just bothered to listen instead of constantly forming an opinion on how they react and how they may react to situations.

It was announced last wednesday, tickets went on sale Saturday. I had made plans with several friends to go, there were a total of 12 shows, 2 a night. Then, saturday they went on sale and we realized only 2 could be bought at one time. We let everyone know, but we were only ones who were able to get through. With 12 shows I honestly did not think it would be that hard to find one night together.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 30, 2015 -> 07:48 AM) The Trestman bowl in full effect tonite. Maybe we can get some Clausen vs McCown action I feel pretty confident that McCown will torch ravens d.
