I'm glad benitendi is working out because I liked him a lot, and usually that means they will be awful (Smoak).

He was a former Missouri Point Guard and I don't know that he's been in the NBA very much. So yes, camp body.

My .02, I hope that the speed gun is more prominent. I never remember where it is.

Rooting for Blue Jays/anybody but STL.

This happens about 1 year after the federal supervision of voting rights is basically gutted.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 1, 2015 -> 09:25 AM) Aaron Rodgers had a delivery hitch in his motion that is prominent with Tedford guys. Green Bay completely reworked his throwing mechanics on top of Rodgers' insane work ethic and need to be the best ever. Had Rodgers gone somewhere else, he may not be what he is today. I agree with this. I also think the whole sitting behind a QB for two years is some sort of cure-all. I think there were some QBs who were put behind offensive lines that created bad habits right away (David Carr). But I think for the most part I doubt that Geno Smith, Blaine Gabbert, RGIII etc would have been great if they just didn't play for 2 years.

DJ does an excellent job breaking down at bats when an important one is up. I have no doubt that if DJ were broadcasting for another team people would be praising him as an announcer.

I don't mind this. I'd be mad if it happened to me, but people roll through neighborhood stop signs often, and get used to not having to stop. When there actually are people coming up to the stop they just roll through trying to beat them (and saving an extra 4 seconds on their life) rather than stopping and letting people go through. I also think about these threads when I hear about how considerate and amazing at following the law cars are and how terrible bicyclists are for the world.

Love listening to them. Glad they're back.

The only freaking player I can think that we thought was going to be a perfect fit to add power at the cell and did was Jim Thome.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 02:13 PM) Interesting, especially given how much DJ and Farmer seem to hate Eaton's defense this year. I know I've said it a few times, but it wouldn't shock me at all if Eaton is dealt this offseason. That would shock me a lot.

Would love to not watch Claussen again.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 01:05 PM) Eaton's power has to be one of the most surprising aspects of the Sox season. Yes. Honestly to look at a positive that is great and makes him much more attractive as a long term fit. He's not Juan Pierre out there.

Wellp, I remembered this as 121 mph from some tweet but guess it was 10mph less: There was a week where trayce thompson was mentioned in top five of exit velocity but it must have been a small sample.
-
TT also hits the ball very hard. His BABIP may not be this high forever, but he has to have the highest exit velocity off his bat of anyone beside maybe Abreu.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 10:57 AM) He hasn't shown the smarts / ability to improve. That is a huge red flag for me. I want a QB who has the tools and consistently gets better. Far more likely they can project forward since they've shown an ability to develop and improve already (vs. get worse / stagnate...that reaks of someone who purely gets by on ability and nothing more). I do realize their are other factors, such as talent, that could force you to not be as good, but I want a guy who is a heady football player. Cook and Goff appear to be that guy with Cook being the guy whose done it in a more pro-style attack and who has shown terrific accuracy at times. He gets a little wild outside of the pocket, but that is something that we can work out. I think this is premature, for 3 games last year he's been amazing. Through 4 games where people game planned for him less so. The rest of the year is when you'd see an adjustment. It's still very early.

I feel like Avi is our Sam Bradford (we are the rams)

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 11:08 AM) I've never been Trayce's biggest fan but we're to the point where he has to be in consideration for a starting outfield spot next year, right? For me, I think if we get an actual above average player in a corner OF spot you do it, you don't hold anything warm for a less than sure thing. But, if next year is just a year to let everything develop, I think we give it to Trayce who has earned it.

Ha, sorry, came back to the thread and got confused with the Michigan/Michigan state talk. SORRY DONT TALK ABOUT THAT HEY DREW LOCK MAY BE A PRO QB HOW BOUT THEM BEARS
-
So, Maty Mauk was suspended so I get to see Drew Lock. I don't think I can plan on him being very good, but Mauk was terrible. I do feel bad for Mauk, whose dad just had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. That and a fanbase being brutal to him...tough stuff. But Lock is clearly better at passing.
-
Awesome catch. Trayce was such a bright spot this year. Hope he's not a bright spot like Josh Fields 22 hrs were a bright spot in 07.

first day of iphone 6s on ios9. Got into work with 94% battery. Typically was around 63-70% at this point. Left work around 25%, so we'll see where that ends.

Well, it's that time of year again....2015 edition

11th pick is just a worse case scenario for me. -
I think Jones will just be too raw for a first round pick. maybe the first qb off board in 2nd/3rd.
