  1. Tyler's sax walk up music among the highlights this season.
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 03:02 PM) Am I the only one who thinks the Cooper TD from the 1st half was incomplete? His first foot was down, but he didn't have control of the ball at the time- he bobbled! I watched the replay in slow-motion several times... I was surprised they overturned the call on the field but it was close
  3. I don't know if I want us to win.
  4. Yeah that was a brutal pick
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 10:40 AM) Kang obviously would have been a very nice get, too. Since we just know KW wasn't going to get Donaldson anyway, it's pointless to even think about. It's not pointless to think about. This team needs elite talent more than average upgrades at every position. That elite players in position of need will be on trade market and we still will not have organizational depth to make those trades is a huge issue. Who will be this years Donaldson? Does anyone feel like we are ever a good match in those trades unless we trade our top ten pitcher? That's embarrassing.
  6. Hmm...not sure ignoring MAC coaches because Beckner didn't work out is best strategy. Illinois will not attract a power 5 coach with success and the MACs record of training ground for coaches is unquestioned.
  7. There has been this sentiment on the board that Seager and Arenado would be easy to get that I don't quite understand. Frankly, the big move was missing out on Donaldson last year. There just aren't going to be youngish power hitting 3b available. Except MAtT DAVIDSON
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 07:14 AM) We can't even quite be bad enough to know when to lose. The funny thing in all of this is that it will wipe out a decent percentage of moves that Hahn and Co. might have been tempted to make, so that's not a bad thing. The biggest concern has to be that taking some of those options off the board will force the White Sox to make a trade like the proposed one for Todd Frazier that will end up causing the team to not only tread water, but really push contention into close to fantasyland and force the inevitable trades of Sale and/or Abreu a year or two down the line. I have to say, your second paragraph made me feel better.
  9. Drew lock is 16/19 with two touchdowns. USC benefitted from a ridiculous TD and an awful targeting call.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 03:43 PM) They gave up their 6th already for Suisham, I'm genuinely surprised you woudln't want something higher. He's a fully paid kicker. Not that valuable.
  11. Probably a good idea. Biggest thing Jimmy could have worked on is passing when he went into the block. What a friggen player he's become though. Actually, I take it back, if he can hit 3's off the dribble at 36% or higher that would be amazing.
  12. Right but there's "not exactly a pillar on the line" and "I couldn't beat out someone now on the practice squad of another team" Charles Leno
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 11:55 AM) No, I actually think Jay is going to play With Bushrod out too...I don't know.
  14. Ugh, why do I read that and all I can think is "he's going to tear his acl in preseason" Can we have good things?
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 10:02 AM) X1? I got it a couple of months ago, and have no idea how I survived as long as I did with the old one. It is so much easier to use, plus it is nice having remote access to DVR shows, for the most part. Yeah. I was so angry too that they made me return my box when I moved, but this thing is awesome. I love how the back button shows you an option of the last 5 places you've been, including recorded/on demand shows.
  16. Also, playoffs have changed, right? This is the worst playoff drought I've seen since being a fan and the playoffs have been easier to make in that span. These are also some of the least fun teams I've had to watch. It's just been too long, with some of the least dynamic talent I've ever seen on the sox. And yes, that is heavily tilted toward position players.
  17. Also, got the new tweetdeck. Loving all my old ios flames. I basically use my phone for twitter and texts. If twitter made a phone that could actually handle their resource sucking app i'd probably buy it.
  18. Comcast's new DVR is quite awesome.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 08:14 AM) If Brooks is saying the dimensions of the video boards are actually bigger, I wonder if they are getting rid of the billboards in the OF. Another huge change would be if they painted the facades green instead of the current gray. They have the emblem behind homeplate, now another one on the mound. I hope they don't cave an install Wrigley brick to replace the green padding like so many teams have done, in the infield. I bet it may be easier to sell volume on small video board ads vs. the yearlong committment. I wonder if that would equal out or be worse thou
