Game was a failure at every level from Bulls, who just cannot seem to find role players who can consistently hit open threes to create any spacing. Two 15 plus point runs, bad a a player level and coaching level. barely notching 80 points against awful defense, bad at a player level and a coaching level. This year is best shot they had at beating James, but they'll always find an excuse to forget how to shoot in playoffs.

I swear this team is ruining professional baseball for me.

QUOTE (flavum @ May 8, 2015 -> 06:18 PM) Eye-balling the radar, I can't blame the Sox for not calling it yet. Got to wait until 8 at least. They could at least say they aren't starting at 7 at this point.

QUOTE (StRoostifer @ May 8, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) Good call. Just checked the weather again and the rain is supposed to move in around 6pm and last roughly three hours. There's supposed to be a window between 9-12 so maybe the game can be played if we don't get too much rain. If that's the case I hope they cancel it. That's a lousy way to treat fans.

If 30 for 30 didn't make money, every sports related channel in the world wouldn't be making knockoff docs. 30 for 30 basically killed the sports movie.

I hope he cuts out TV. Agree on grantland. I enjoy all of their media writers and Zach Lowe is best in biz. Jonah Keri is great too.

QUOTE (Real @ May 8, 2015 -> 05:57 AM) just realized the twins passed the sox in the standings looooool smh. You didn't realize that when they swept the sox in four games?

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 7, 2015 -> 02:56 PM) Noah's regression has been borderline insane. Here's a guy that could occasionally explode for 20 pts/10 reb/10 ast and no one would blink an eye. Now if he scores 5 points it's a shock. He used to get 10 points on putbacks. That's what amazes me. Completely gone. Rose drives and Noah putbacks were our 2011 offense.

also some of the last trains until midnight are 10:30, that used to get me. Making fun of people leaving early is lame. People made time and paid to go to the games, but sometimes you just have to leave.

Wow, forgive me if I think some under the table promises were made. That is not the team I'd find playing time.
-
they may have a 70 point half. Just get out healthy.
-
You know you are getting your ass kicked when you see a 17 point lead and think "that's not that bad".

Reminds me of '13 game 2.

You have to be out of your gourd to think Gasol hates thibs. Do you realize where Gasol just came from? Thibs both a) gives gasol plenty of minutes (he was on bench last 2 years!) b) Made his offense feed pau with plenty of back to the basket stuff I don't think Gasol one-on-one back to the basket is great basketball, but I DO think Gasol loves to do it.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 6, 2015 -> 08:10 AM) The Bears claimed Broncos OT Paul Cornick off waivers yesterday. Underrated addition. Probably the 2nd best OT currently on the Bears roster. I read pretty great run mauler maybe not good in pass protection. But glad to have legit competition for Mills, and will leave Ola as good backup.

I don't understand the point of a position if there is no accountability for it. Are you likely to find an amazing hitting coach that always gets the best out of your offense for years? Maybe not. In a slumping offense is it possible a new voice can make a change? I think so. But, yes, I appreciate those peddling an orthodoxy that if someone does not control everything they control nothing and thus can never be held accountable for performance of their team. Because that's the way everything else beside baseball is run.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 6, 2015 -> 07:04 AM) Lu-on-go! Lu-on -go! Would a third syllable really stop the chant? I think it would, that one is too soft to matter. We needs something more confusing like a Rzepecki

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 5, 2015 -> 10:20 PM) That ball was over the fence to start with and Melky did a helluva job getting his glove on it, Actually it went right in his glove but popped out on impact. There's a reason why you don't see too many spectacular HR robbing catches at the Cell even though the fence height is pretty ideal for those kind of catches and that's because of how the fence is. Since the picnic area is there ,the wall isn't flat but there's the chain link fence then the padding on the top which prevents fielders from getting much height on their jump. Usually there shoulder hits the padding and their body goes into the fencing which bends them and prevents them from getting that arm extension . That is a great point and I"ve never thought about that before.

How bad was Melky's drop of the home run?

Crawford was great. Still wish he would change his name to three syllables so that effing chant can go away.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 5, 2015 -> 04:17 PM) Rose shot 28% on shots between 10-16 feet and 38% on shots from 16-23 feet. He shot poorly all year on shots that weren't at the rim. Unless you can show me what Rose shot on uncontested jumpers from 10-23 feet I will attribute this to a lot of his garbage shot selection and random long floaters and lamely trying to create contact.

Did we figure out the Montas disappearance?

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 5, 2015 -> 04:09 PM) The way we shot in game 1 isn't sustainable whatsoever. I think that's my biggest worry at the moment. On the other hand, it was remarkable how wide open people were for those shots. If you leave Gasol wide open from 15 feet, it's going in 80% of the time. That's a free throw for him. Rose, his midrange has looked good all year, and it's there for him to shoot.
