  1. Micah doing his best Sharyl Sandberg impression
  2. Good. Get this to Jose.
  3. Would like if Soto could take first walk here.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 3, 2015 -> 02:16 PM) I'm used to this level of disappointment. 2013 was the exact same setup. Lots of money spent, $120 million payroll, seemingly full roster you'd hope could improve on previous year, get on the field and its a clown show from the start. that 2013 was not shocking to me at all. That was an old team. This was the start of the new era of players. And they are not good. And there is no top notch replacements coming.
  5. QUOTE (reiks12 @ May 3, 2015 -> 02:15 PM) I don't believe that Ventura is to blame for this mess but there needs to be someone responsible. Unfortunately for him it's the manager. I hope they players realize their pathetic play is going to result in people losing jobs. agree. I don't think Robin caused all poor play, but I don't particularly care about his career in managing and I don't feel he is going to get things under control.
  6. I'm not laughing. I've never been so disappointed by a baseball team. There is no positive that will be taken from this year. This play is devastating for the entire franchise.
  7. QUOTE (scs787 @ May 2, 2015 -> 07:29 PM) I like Langford, just didn't see the need. I wouldn't be surprised if Fangio and Donatell do the same thing they did with Jimmie Ward to Amos, and that's make him a nickel CB. He was really good in coverage. Not sure if the link will work because Im apparently bad at tableting but here's a good little write up on Amos..... https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/...g-to-work-with/ Says he lined up over the slot a lot and QBs had just a 13.0 NFL passer rating throwing his way. Good point on Ward. Amos looks dynamite in coverage.
  8. Amazing, I feel like round by round we are recreating last years NFL draft.
  9. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 2, 2015 -> 12:49 PM) I think assuming you cant find day 1 starters in the mid to later rounds is a mistake and is something that has hurt the Bears for a while (Yes I know its a new regime picking) Langford is gonna come in and compete with 2 other guys to be the backup running back. Drafting a corner or safety at least gives you the potential to get an impact usable player. Even if we lose Forte after this season its not like this guy is gonna be the starter, Im sure theyll bring in someone new regardless, just seems like a waste. I want the GM to always pick players they think can be a starter in their contract over "oh we had a bad defense we better grab 6 D players!!! Draft the right players. Drafting a bad defensive player in the fourth doesn't help you more than drafting a bad offensive player. Drafting a good offensive player over a bad defensive player helps you more obviously. So assuming they had conviction that this is a guy that will be a part of their offense ( and the fact that he is a good blocker helps there), then I don't that we didn't "load up on d". That kind of talk always assumes you are picking between two equally Talented players and we know that isn't the case. If Pace can't identify talent it won't matter what positions we are picking.
  10. I feel pretty strongly that if our offense could have controlled clock better our defense would have improved. You aren't getting day 1 starters in the fourth anyway
  11. Pat Fitzgerald is really good on TV
  12. I'm not sure there can be reaches on day 3. 32 teams are ranking 250+ players. Imagine how much those lists start to diverge after 100. I'd prefer mike Davis, but it just sucks to look at this draft and now that last year is a complete wash save Fuller.
  13. if you want to cry look at our slugging percentage.
  14. I cannot believe Colon is still pitching and well. What an unreal career.
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 2, 2015 -> 09:31 AM) The 2nd/3rd round picks look solid. Not many NTs in a 3-4 scheme are going to be considered "pass rushers", but that really isnt their job. Seriously. 2 down player is a reality for many NFL players. If they are great on those two downs that's a huge deal.
  16. I'm kind of glad to know they are dead last. I felt like they were but thought I was being dramatic. It seems like we've only scored in 6 total innings this year
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ May 1, 2015 -> 09:46 PM) Here's a wild idea...on a team that can't hit, put Beckham in the lineup. I believe he's 2nd on the team in WAR this year He's the only player I can stand to watch right now.
  18. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 1, 2015 -> 09:25 PM) Surprisingly no posts on the Hawks 3-0 lead after 1 against the Wild. 3 goals on 1st 7 shots. Saad , Kane, Kruger with the goals. It's not on tv for quite a few folks tonight
  19. I've enjoyed our whole pen. Our position players have been so disappointing. Their lines read like something a pessimistic troll would write in a predictions thread, but it's real life.
  20. The sox have really sucked the joy out of baseball.
  21. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 1, 2015 -> 06:39 PM) Eddie Goldman to Bears. Should be a nice space eater. Would have also been okay with the OT. Me too, was kind of hoping for Fisher.
  22. Agh, wish jets would have went WR round 1
  23. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 1, 2015 -> 06:24 PM) I thought he might have had Raiders written all over him. New regime.
  24. DGB only really had 2 dominant games, but even in his great soph year, I'm not sure a bipartial watcher would say he was the best receiver on his team (not talking about draft prospects).
