  1. QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 13, 2014 -> 06:07 PM) Still dont understand what George O'Leary saw in the other QB that started against Penn St. UCF would've won if they started this kid. No kidding but I feel like that's not the first time a QB practices like crap then is a huge gamer. But for how accurate he is I'm surprised he'd practice poorly. Helps too that they had a bye week to prepare I guess
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 13, 2014 -> 06:01 PM) Has a strong arm. But phenomenal accuracy and decision making
  3. The Missouri game just had two insane plays. An incredible interception by our DT then a broken screen goes almost negative 12 for a gain of 25
  4. Ugh, I know there is a whole #spankyourchild crowd, but how can you see the cuts begin to form on your kid and still justify and keep at it. Just disgusting.
  5. There was a good article that Fales may have made initial 53 due to injury. He may be healed now, and with rosters set there is a good chance he makes practice roster (I hope at least). Like the moves!
  6. I am so thankful they let him play in this tournament. You can tell his mind and body are not in sync yet, especially finishing around the basket. I'm getting more pumped for preseason to see Mirotic. So weird to really not know anything about a player. Feels like olden times.
  7. Probably not a good sign that the Bears could be a playoff team that I feel there is a 0% chance they can beat another playoff team.
  8. Dang, I thought he became a hero when he broke his leg?
  9. dannnnnnnngggggggggg
  10. I think the worst part was justifying the light sentence with discussing how great a guy Ray Rice was, and obviously letting that press conference happen with Baltimore. They could have had that sentence and still hid behind a veil of re-examining the punishments for domestic violence, and that they took the matter seriously. Instead it was "he is a first time offender and understands his mistakes and is going to correct them. Great guy. Total class act."
  11. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 10, 2014 -> 07:40 PM) Even though it looked awful I dont think many people are gonna say the Conte play cost the Bears the game, but there were a handful of plays where he was too deep and was giving up wide open passes 10-15 yards down the field. A few of them were terrible throws too, I think it was Woods who made a leaping catch right in the middle of the field and Conte was too far back to make a play on it. That's just holes in the zone.
  12. Fuller is a big time recruiter too, and I think Fulford's Huntington Prep run itself shows he is a good recruiter. However, they are taking direction on scouting from Anderson.
  13. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 10, 2014 -> 06:30 PM) Why's that? I was impressed you guys got MGC. AFter missing out on Whitt and Blakeney they jumped at the chance to offer two in-state 3* guards which, I have to believe, would have been available to offer late. If Thomas Bryant doesn't sign, we are very, very thin frontcourt moving forward.
  14. Well if it makes you feel any better, my optimism for mizzou basketball recruiting under Anderson from August 1st to now has fallen off a cliff.
  15. The going rate for QB is expensive and will continue to get more expensive. 15million isn't great but it is what it is at this point. McCown is old, has been out of the league before, and does not have a long history of this sort of success.

  17. say what you want, that makes me feel better.
  18. QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 09:17 PM) Rewatched the Cutler INT to Kyle Williams and noticed right before Jay threw the ball Bennett had his arms up calling for the ball....Now am I just a Jay apologist when I say that Bennett should get some of the criticism on that play? Or that at least Jay shouldn't be as scrutinized as he has been on that play? He's scrambling around, sees a receiver with his arms in the air makes a split second decision and delivers. I know typically QBs shouldn't throw back across the field but it's not like it was all the way across the field. I am indeed a Jay apologist though so ya... I don't know, receivers throw their arms up all the time, doesn't mean you throw to them.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 08:23 PM) You really don't get away with knocking someone out in public. Especially when there is video of the entire thing, and your victim is willing to press charges. Rice would have been looking at several years in prison. Probably wouldn't have got it, but he would have received some time, and it would have cost him a lot of money. I assume you are talking about if Ray assaulted a man in the elevator who did not provoke him, not a "drunken bar fight" where both parties could be charged with assault if it is reported.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 09:10 PM) I agree. Obviously men are stronger than women, in the general sense. A man is probably generally going to take that punch better than a woman. But few people react this way when a woman goes after a man with a knife or a gun, which goes a long way towards negating the physical advantage men have over women. A lot of this is chivalry/protectionism, which isn't necessarily wrong, but it is getting a bit out of control here. That's because it doesn't happen as much as it does to women: http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-na...estic-violence/ Men it's under 3%.
  21. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) You should get a good look at the Packers ILB. Ranked worst and second worst last week from PFF. There is talk that the Ravens want to trade Arthur Brown. If I was Ted Thompson. I would be on the phone getting that trade done. I would like to see this if only to see if he too becomes invisible. A few years ago I thought linebackers were the most replaceable position on the football field. Now I'm feeling like this draft will need to be 6 straight LBs so that we can hit on one.
  22. I've been really struggling with keeping the hornets/pelicans in my head the past 2 years
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 02:17 PM) 0-2, off to another stellar start! I'm dead in the water.
