  1. 12 team, I've never made the playoffs in this league. I've never had a good draft. I fell on the bad side of a TE run (also 4 TEs were keepers) QB-Foles WR- Cobb WR - Victor Cruz RB - Adrian Peterson RB - Lamar Miller TE - Cook/Graham (not two TEs, just not sure which to start) Flex - TY Hilton Bench - Hyde, Watkins, Jeremy Hill, McFadden, RGIII K- Prater (autodrafted, sigh) DEF - STL D - Patrick Peterson
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 01:40 AM) Whatever. Give me freakish athleticism with upside over grindy, try-hard all day, everyday. If Lavine was a Bull instead of Doug McGrindy, folks would be singing a differebt tune. Well yes, I would. I have to, at this point, bury all bulls anxieties deeper and deeper, never to rise to the surface.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 27, 2014 -> 07:28 PM) How many people have really hyped him on the board though? A bunch of us have said he'll at least be exciting to watch cause he can jump high, I don't think anyone has went overboard saying he's a stud or anything. There have been more people here declaring him a bust than anything. Eh, pre-draft there was a lot of people gushing over him, but I would need Quinarvy to put something together to see if it was just one superfan.
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 27, 2014 -> 05:04 PM) you are ready to move on from Eaton and Garcia already? No, but that's one of the reasons this season is diappointing. I like Eaton, but at this point I'm pretty nervous he's capable of ever playing more than 75% of his games. Garcia is an unknown, and it makes me nervous that he will not hit for enough power to make up for a light hitting CF/3b'er.
  5. I only paid a dollar but I'm still pissed.
  6. That said, I have been thinking a lot about it. I was really pleased at the all star break. But at this pace for 73 wins, rather than what I was hoping for, this team is at least another 2 years away, and we are going to have to pay for pitching, which is what people have been laughing about the cubs needing to do for 4 years now. This core is really good (Sale/Q/Rodon/Abreu/Ramirez), but we still could upgrade basically every OF position, C position, 2b, etc. I hope that Semien/Johnson can get there, but I'm not banking on it. Not after we just watched a top 100 pitching prospect forget how to throw.
  7. Honestly, if Vegas is going to rely on Tourists to fill out the stadium rather than a stable season ticket base, than it is a really bad choice. I hear jacksonville is an up and coming spot!
  8. Well, crap. Gordon is officially out. I don't think the NFL could have handled that ruling any worse. They continue to look like they rule out of spite.
  9. Vegas has too many transplants.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 27, 2014 -> 05:20 PM) The entities have immunity, but not for willful wanton conduct. And while the individual officers also sometimes have complete immunity, they're probably not paying out money anyway. It's always going to be the municipality. And they're more important since they have insurance money. edit: the prosecutor immunity is a little troubling. I get the need for it, but there was a case in Texas where a guy spent like 30 years behind bars and it was all due to the prosecutor deliberately withholding evidence. It was something simple, like an evidence locker record, which would have cleared the guy. But the prosecutor hid it on purpose because they had no other suspects or lead in the murder and he wanted that conviction. The prosecutor eventually became a judge too. Also happened in St. Louis. This type of misconduct costs the state so much too, because almost every conviction then has a reasonable repeal.
  11. Not sure it's specifically democrat, but didn't want to start new thread. I stopped donating my paltry sum to my uni after it's once pretty good efforts to continue to keep KC and STL city students coming dropped off. I have not found a good replacement college, so I donate elsewhere.
  12. QUOTE (Felix @ Aug 27, 2014 -> 03:16 AM) What's this 'hype train' you're referring to? Pretty clear from my post: "I just find the hype train on the board"
  13. Federers air Jordan shoes are so dope
  14. That kind of sounds like every movement in history.
  15. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 26, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) From Twitter it sounds like Rose played awful again. 3 out of 4 games now... Let's hope it's just rust. 3 out of 4 games...what?
  16. http://dish.andrewsullivan.com/2014/08/26/...e-of-diversity/ Thought this was interesting.
  17. This is a hot political topic. I'd hate to see people's opinions here!
  18. Just say you fell carrying groceries.
  19. I'm enjoying every day between now and when he commits to UK/kU where I can imagine Tatum going to Mizzou.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 26, 2014 -> 04:10 PM) Isn't that the case anyway? The difference between 15%-20% and 1% is pretty large.
  21. Also, I'm interested to see if this creates any marketing strategies in US from BK competitors. With so few company owned stores, I'm also wondering how much more difficult it will be for them to get any new food item/campaigns out.
  22. Yeah, it has a decent amount of support now but i'd bet it wouldn't get past committee.
  23. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 26, 2014 -> 03:34 PM) The next Tyrus Thomas. He showed much more basketball sense than Thomas. But he's gotta learn the point, that's a hard enough transition from HS to College, but even harder college to pros.
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 26, 2014 -> 02:58 AM) Brandon Meriweather suspended for two games for yet another dirty hit. At some point he just needs to banned from the league, he's a liability to injure every other player. Seriously, or start fining the team too.
  25. QUOTE (Felix @ Aug 26, 2014 -> 01:58 AM) Gotta love writing off 19-year old kids that have never played a game in the NBA! #analysis I'm not writing him off, I just find the hype train on the board for this kid ridiculous. He is raw as hell. He left early because he hated Alford, which probably shows good character, but it remains that he didn't play a lot of college basketball, and when he did play that when the conference play began is when all that space to work with disappeared. He might end up great, but he's a project. Unless he made huge strides in the offseason I doubt you see much of a Lavine/Wiggins lineup.
