bmags

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 19, 2014 -> 06:38 PM) Why do they call Marc Trestman the quarterback whisperer? Mainly for his reputation with QBs and the play that came out of Josh McCown and Jay Cutler last year.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2014 -> 10:22 PM) While I am in Dreamland... Melo or Love, if you had your choice... Go. Love. I think in general he fits much better with a great Rose, too. Also youth and all that.

I love the occasional Oduya passing brilliance. The no look, clean pass to the tape of Toews was a thing of beauty. The amazing thing about this team is when they get a great chance in a crucial moment they execute it. That is a rare feat in sports, not just Chicago sports.

Nice to see a pitcher deliver the ball quickly

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 18, 2014 -> 05:36 PM) That had nothing to do with it. I mentioned an upcoming DL stint for him a week ago. Why not try and get by this weekend then and make it retroactive rather then risk it being worse?

Hawk talking nonsense.

Lynch taking kicks today.

I love that man

LA and it's not even close.

What are the chances the owners will hire a commissioner that will "stand up to owners"

Addiction is an awful thing. I hope he can get passed it, and also get over his weird conspiracy theories.

I feel pretty good about the American sports leagues when s*** like this is going down: http://dish.andrewsullivan.com/2014/05/16/...-the-world-cup/

Most of the leagues have been returning the same teams. And not much different than other points in the NBAs history.

Really wish we would have drafted Dieng last year and had more to play with the athletic wings in this years draft. But GAR.

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 15, 2014 -> 09:32 PM) They had just a few more weapons than we do... Yes, but media coverage does tend to focus on teams winning a lot.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 15, 2014 -> 09:25 PM) Abreu vs Tanaka segment on ATH today. 2 of the 3 took Abreu. Tony Reali ranted that no one has been giving Abreu enough attention all year whereas Puig got it last year. I know people love to hate Puig but it bears repeating that his team ripped a 50 game stretch where they went like 43-7 or something. We are 20-22 in sleepy may.

Peavy Rios trade obviously need to be evaluated on dollar terms, but the Rios for L. Garcia is kind of a huge bust for me right now.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 15, 2014 -> 09:26 PM) So would game 1 be on Sunday or Monday night? I think I read it's sunday at 3pm regardless.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 15, 2014 -> 06:35 PM) When he signed for me in the spring he appeared a little bloated. Maybe he's off the sauce like Miggy... yeah... Or maybe he's losing it because of stress as his parents migrate over from a totalitarian government and his pressure to succeed in a new country.

What do the #s mean next to the name?

QUOTE (ewokpelts @ May 15, 2014 -> 04:51 PM) By good, do you mean "not black" or "i won't get his by maniacs all day long"? Halsted is your best bet, as that's the closest to the park. Ashland and western are ok. all three have uninterrupted runs from belmont-39th. Also, all thee have bus routes, so you could take the bus for a bit too. I mean good for bikes. I have a hard time believing Ashland and Western are ever good to hop on a bike on.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ May 14, 2014 -> 04:27 PM) You and ED Begley Jr are about the only ones. I'll wait until I see Algore and others of his ilk act like it is important and do it without being forced to by law. You can thank anyone who lives in a densely populated area for doing their part. Moving to Queens does more to combat climate change than buying a Tesla in Houston.

Osuna is still a pretty good prospect I thought?

Kids these days are so coddled.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 15, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) Ducks won, so game 1 is actually Friday night at 11:00pm CDT This may or may not mean Shaw had a leg amputated. Hahaha
