  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 08:49 PM) I had one of these. It was revolutionary for me personally, but the iPod just destroys it in terms of what it brought to the masses as well as tight integration with software. I was gonna say the CD MP3 player was unbelievable to me before I saw that picture was of those. Apple brought design consideration to the world. You see that everywhere now. They are not what they once were but no need to re-write what they brought to the table. Design is a big deal now for google, microsoft, etc. Before it was an afterthought.
  2. Taking things to mass market is a lot more revolutionary than just creating something nobody uses.
  3. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 06:28 PM) Oh yeah it's not until I'm actually in the message box that I'm talking about. Even so I'm going to try this and post back what I wrote.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 07:22 PM) Ya, one of my old roommates(who is a huge grantland fan actually) is all about going for it basically every time. And every time someone gets stuffed it's "well it was a bad play call." I definitely get the odds, and I'm in favor of going for it a majority of the time, but there's definitely times to kick the field goal. Well, the caveat is "if your team is great in short yardage". Jags? Probably not. Panthers? Yes. Saints? Yes.
  5. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 05:23 PM) I don't have to look at my screen using swype You are crazy. I have swype and there's no way I could open up messaging and then swype accurately enough to write coherently. Maybe "I here"
  6. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 03:56 PM) If its more money and less years is it really like Cespedes at all? Hahaha
  7. One thing I genuinely miss - memorizing the buttons to click to open up a text, using alpha to write in my text, and sending. Not even having to look at the screen.
  8. I say we may as well. If you have a talented athletic player you may as well put them at the position hardest to fill with quality players.
  9. I also sincerely thought Snell was Eddie Robinson first time I saw him in uniform.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 11:56 AM) Between injuries and knowing what everyone else can do, why not? I think the surpise is actually just continuing to not know who he is on the court. Every time I see him I think "who the hell is that guy?"
  11. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 09:00 PM) If you were at home, I'd give the edge to Mizzou. Home field seems paramount, this year more than I can ever remember before. Yeah, luckily we have USC at home (just like we were so lucky to host Alabama last year and lose by 40!). Just going to enjoy this week where we are still undefeated and had a great game on Saturday. Was the first time since 2010 that I felt that no one could stop our offense. The glimmer of hope I have is when James Franklin went to A&M in 2011 and ran through their defense and routed them. But A&M was not a top ten team, Georgia is. I can dream for 5 more days.
  12. Kinda surprised how many minutes Murphy is getting.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 07:29 PM) I know, Im just saying if there is any "bag o tricks" at this point, it will have to be magic out of Emery. I dont know what Trestman could possibly do outside of turning Cutler into Peyton Manning RIGHT NOW Well, we have until end of october. Seems like Jax is willing to trade, but it'll cost us picks.
  14. It is funny though. To start the year, we knew we were especially thin at dtackle and could not afford any injuries there. So what happens? All 3 major injuries so far were to our dtackle positions.
  15. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 06:18 PM) @mikecwright Nate Collins has a torn ACL. Out for season. Oh man. s***.
  16. QUOTE (Dunt @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 05:01 PM) MLBTR is saying that they expect something like the Pence deal and we would lose our second round pick. No thank you. Really? A 32 year old CF with an injury plagued year will get as much as Pence?
  17. I'd really like Bulls to run with a lineup of Rose-Butler-Lou-Gibson-Noah this year. Just dominating defensively (beside rose), and hopefully Rose can add the offense to make it feasible. The rebounding would be insane. Jimmy is just ridiculous on the o boards.
  18. I think the media's making too much out of Marshall's comments. You can tell from interviews that dude is sick of missing the playoffs. I don't think if I was his teammate I'd be annoyed at all. Marshall still plays his ass off every play. Also, side note, Jeffery may be the best blocking receiver bears have had.
  19. Man, if there is ever a time where Mizzou could beat Georgia, it would be this week. String of injuries for Georgia's playmakers on offense, a struggling defense vs. Mizzou who is remarkably healthy. Will be interesting to see, Murray has been clutch as hell for them though, and Georgia's 3rd string RBs are better than most teams first.
  20. And I do feel good that this was first game defense showed improvement.
  21. If this team eliminated their bonehead mistakes, they'd be sitting pretty at 4-1.
  22. Interesting bears have been so good at 2 pt conversions.
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 08:45 PM) The bigger mistake was the drops by Earl, though. Drops happen. I've literally ever seen someone actually jumping offside on those plays. Not even in college. Add that to all of the special teams s***. Bad coaching.
