  1. I'd really like to grab a C in the 2nd or 3rd round.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 03:21 AM) It's just the money. I think our line has to be better with him in it, but he becomes one of our highest paid players. The fact that Kromer is here seems to make it more likely that it is hubris than good scouting...but I like Emery and I don't expect him to really f*** things up. I'm willing to be wrong, but I'll say he wouldn't have been my target for that dollar amount. Frankly, signing a starting OT was going to make that position one of our highest paid (consistent across NFL). According to Jensen, move only cost us 3.1 against the cap this year. Not bad.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 01:17 AM) @mortreport: From Eagles; also agree to terms with: CB Fletcher Bradley, S Patrick Chung, LB Jason Phillips and DL Isaac Sopoaga The more things change, the more they stay the same Haha
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 12:48 AM) Looking at that overthecap website...how can we possibly afford these signings? Cap hit was $3 mill for bushrod
  5. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 11:39 PM) https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/311606972019511297 Whoops Are we brothers now?
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 11:03 PM) Completely baseless feeling that I'm getting: Bears won't get Bushrod This is my favorite post I've ever made.
  7. Completely baseless feeling that I'm getting: Bears won't get Bushrod
  8. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 10:37 PM) @nfldraftscout Per team, #Colts have signed LB Erik Walden, formally of #Packers. Thank god. You excited about Stephen Jackson, potentially?
  9. So if you could have only one: Loadholt or Bushrod.
  10. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 06:20 PM) Classic case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. Eh, if he got out of the way he wouldn't have caused a foul, and it would have been a 2 pt play.
  11. QUOTE (Boogua @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 02:29 PM) I just use pro football focus. I wouldn't call the rankings gospel, but the people that do the rankings probably know more than either of us, so it's a decent tool to use. Oh, and Andre Smith wants 9 mil a year at RT and is regarded as one of the best (if not the best) RT in the league, so we don't have to use the grading thing with him too much. Fair point, thanks for the info. I'm way behind on football, trying to keep up.
  12. QUOTE (Boogua @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 02:14 PM) I would be pretty happy with that. He actually grades out better than Winston (although not quite as good as Smith). It would also hurt the Vikings. Are these rankings really gospel though? I've heard oline rating is the hardest to grade out.
  13. life expectancy really isn't going up for the poorest Americans, who tend to rely more on Social Security. http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/eco...8e2a_story.html In other words, please don't raise the age for SS.
  14. This makes me want to make an all-sox team of my lifetime. All-time sox lists are fun, but it's annoying putting players you've never watched on there. I'm pretty damn certain Alexei is the best SS of my sox lifetime, which I consider 93 - today. (93 being first conscious year following white sox)
  15. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 09:14 PM) @RavensInsider: Anquan Boldin traded to 49ers for a sixth-round pick ‏@AdamSchefter Cardinals released RB Beanie Wells. thanks for these updates!
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 06:09 PM) Percy Harvin just got traded to Seattle Great pick-up for Seattle. Multi-dimensional QB, multi-dimensional WR, great RB. Seattle is gonna be pretty good on offense next year.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 05:26 PM) I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but my feeling is they'll start Sale on Opening Day, and then bring him back on Saturday. Then the rotation is Sale, Quintana, Peavy, Danks, Floyd from there on, with the occasional 6th man when there are long stretches without an off day. Maybe use Santiago in Toronto in mid-April. Yeah, I honestly can't tell, but I could see Peavy going out on day 1 as well.
  18. has anyone watched this yet?
  19. Sounds like China is pretty annoyed at the moment as well.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 04:16 PM) I told a friend the other day, I honestly did not think that Kim Jong Un would be nuttier than Kim Jong Il. I thought the guy would actually have a little common sense seeing how he had some actual exposure outside of Korea. I was wrong He's trying to impress the army leadership.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 10, 2013 -> 06:52 PM) Here's a look at the article with well-deserved skepticism. While there was 1 key passage with that, there was a bunch of bloggy crap where they wrote their thesis before they sat down and were just cherrypicking to prove their point. Their logic is basically that if the NYT language was not condemning it, they were supporting it. Glenn Greenwald school of writing.
  22. I'm having trouble linking on ipad, but I suggest reading nytimes article on al-alwaki assassination.
  23. Anyone catch Crossfire Hurricane on HBO?
  24. QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 9, 2013 -> 01:23 AM) Him being a Canadiens player makes it believable IMO. And this is a terrible response.
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 8, 2013 -> 09:17 PM) NBA to add in HGH and blood testing. bye bye lebron.
