  1. i've been personally fighting for healthy school lunches for years.
  2. also, once again. The entire bill is not being passed thru reconciliation. The senate bill passed with 60 votes, and now the house may pass the senate bill. Then, changes to that bill will be made through reconciliation. Also, acting like passing a bill through majority rule is somehow crazay is just really odd.
  3. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 8, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) I picked up Nirvana "Live at Reading" dvd/cd. Really really good. Great recording both for the audio and video. Probably the band at their best. i'm shocked it took that thing so long to come out.
  4. fwiw rays are bout to sign blalock to a minor league deal.
  5. have to say i guess i'm pretty pleased. Maybe this isn't a lost year. Or maybe we are the new redskins where offseasons are more exciting than seasons.
  6. Um, I don't think they deserve the benefit of the doubt. In a matter of context, i have no problem calling them the american taliban when they are ruining peoples lives for not doing anything illegal, but merely being someone else. And if this name marginalizes and ruins their goals, then whatever. Texas or amarello should put together some privacy laws.
  7. You know, I knew it would happen when it became clear this is what we had, but I really do tire of trying to be convinced that putting a combination of really bad offensive players in our offense consistently would make us better.
  8. you know how i knew 2005 was different? Because we got off to a fast start just like 2000. Every year we've started off fast and got into first place we've done really well. The slow starts where we dilly dally i worry, and 2006...sigh. yeah.
  9. I mean, this thread did have a heavy air of the enthusiasm and righteousness you get from stories of a successful persons fall, I agree with iamshack on that.
  10. perhaps his friend just awoke from a coma he entered on april 1st.
  11. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 03:26 PM) And ACORN has done a lot of good for the working poor in urban areas, no matter what anyone else has said. ACORN also works with more than black people, and is not a substitute for the nword!
  12. i mean this country WAS built on alcoholics, lets be real.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 03:43 AM) It's just the whole "I lost the love of my life and now I am broken" has been done so many times that i am not that interested to be honest. If its a short film, I would probably check it out though. okay, my internet isnt good enough to see the trailer. BUt yeah, i saw an awesome short film called the tin man last year that i really loved. edit: okay saw it. It appears its the same movie...um, but i think he remade the short film i saw last year? i need to do some research, this looked a lot shinier.
  15. QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 01:40 AM) Apologies in advance for this lack of political correctness, but Brooklyn has a lot of black people... ahh, right, as opposed to the impartial rich fratty spoiled brats. You know how many tricks he used? He never went up to these employees dressed up as a pimp, they were in business casual clothing. Also, most all of the videos showed the employees urging the girl to seek treatment. theres a great write up i wont bother to link you to because your comment was retarded and worthy of a congressman from arizona or tennessee.
  16. anyways, yeah im anxious to see how they handle beckham, if they wait for his arbitration before signing him or buy it out.
  17. I thought maggs came up in 98 not 96...that would have put him at his 6 in 2004 and kenny came in at 2000
  18. bad news ginger kid. Spring training has been canceled, opening day is in a few hours, and mark buehrle is still in his underwear.
  19. corinthians lost 2-1. Ronaldo looks fat and done, moreso than usual. Cor missed a header just above the cross in the 88th.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 10:02 PM) Fair enough... I just thought there were some good details and insights into his life and personality that people would be interested in. Kind of like telling someone to go see Avatar...very poorly-written script and dialogue, but the overall effect of spending time watching it (or in this case reading), is worth your time. We're never going to see Pulitzer Prize winning caliber writing from the majority of sports writers, Telander, Rick Reilly and Posnanski are three of my favorites though. true. Thats why I said thanks for posting. I liked the quotes. But he was so sloppy in weaving in and out of the football and baseball anecdotes, and I don't like how he doesn't explicitly say mitchell was a receiver, he was trying to be too cute.
