http://www.propublica.org/article/burris-1...lion-pal-090209 Nothing really hard hitting, but, considering how much I loathe this man, I wouldn't mind if the teeth of the story are found and it takes him down.

It's going to take a lot of viagara to get through this mess.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 06:04 PM) Agreed. 100% The rumor is that he hit her over the news that she gave him herpes. Still, you dump the girl & keep it moving. He's got too much riding on his career to do something stupid like this. I bet that's bulls***. Blame the f***ing victim bulls***. Throw this kid in jail and have him raped. How's aids sound?

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 08:16 AM) Is it not possible to be the best without being great? 'The Reader' should win best picture, but it's not great. Penn or Rourke will win best actor, but neither performance is great......hell, Ledger was better in his role than both. No no, I don't care about the opinion, I thought the reader was a complete f*** up on the screen. I'm saying you have this formula: I just saw/listened to x, and it's official, x is a dead/avg product. I don't necessarily disagree with you I was just musing. You complete me. I'm going to see let the right one in tonight. I believe this will be the first Swedish film I've ever seen, but I've heard wonderful things.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 05:10 PM) The worry I have with this kid is that he rakes in ST, rakes in April then canot adjust to what pitchers do to him to get him out and we have to send him down to get work and totally ruin his confidence. This. The only nice thing is that he'd have Alexei and Jose up here to help him out.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 05:15 AM) Just got back from 'The Wrestler' and it's official, 2008 was a so-so year in film. Above average films and performances will win Oscars this year. you say this for everything.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 05:23 AM) What is really sad is there are a ton of young people watching the show tonight, wondering who the hell Robert Plant is, and why did he just win an award. why the hell did he win an award? Making a bunch of bland spoon full of sugar bulls*** grammy songs. Here's everything you need to know about the grammys - if steely dan made an album they'd sweep them.

it's. the. grammys. who has ever given a f***

You're talking to the poster who posted the articles ABOUT this stuff, I just don't write about it like a 16 year old girl on my xanga

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 06:59 PM) I dont think the Killers will stick as the Saturday headliner for long. Chemical Brothers or somebody else is going to bump them out. I think so too, not because the killers put out an awful album, but they've had so much success with their electronic acts on big stages

Jesus, the more I read of that, it looks like something Cubano would write. Get us more gems, please, ss2k5.

I love when people act like the american media isn't covering something just because 24 hours news channels aren't covering something. They think the f***ing times of india broke this story. God, I hate people.

"Oh, it looks like she never even missed a payment. That's too bad. " that's the best part. Yes, ma'am, that was my mother's best quality. When she died, I thought to myself, damn! The streak is over! She's going to miss a payment!

Seriously. That is absolutely hilarious.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 05:45 PM) Did you get beat up at Bonnaroo or something? Your disdain of it is puzzling to me. Yeah, I'd love to go to Coachella, but I can get to Manchester in about six hours. Coachella is about 1500 miles farther. I was fine with Bonnaroos lineup last year. BUt this year they are clearly trying to grab back that disgusting awful filthy group of fans. Oh man Bela Fleck can f***in PLUCK man

QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 08:04 AM) I don't really care. I don't really understand the rivalry personally. There are tons of fans that make a huge deal out of anything Kansas. I've only been to one basketball game and none of the football games. The football games are when I'm in the Chicago area for Thanksgiving break. As for basketball, freshman year (the Moody game) I was on a date which went longer than expected and I deemed that more important lol and last year I just drove in from the end of the winter break and slept through the game. Shows how much I care, but you are right about the culture. Yeah, I mean it's fun. Rivalries are always fun, but, I don't know anyone treating it like the super bowl. I certainly don't want to lose, but they canceled our work on Monday for the game, and I was pissed, because I'm poor. -
Why is this man ruining our economy?

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 05:49 PM) Senior year in HS our soccer team went out for breakfast before school the day of our homecoming game at Dennys. We were kinda loud and rowdy but there were hardly any people in there and we were polite to the waitress. However, one of the waitresses kept giving attitude to one of the tables and so when the food came the three people at that table just left. I was one of the last people to leave and initially we refused to pay for it since we werent the ones to do it but in the end myself and a few others picked up their bill. Apparently Dennys called our school because our coach found and those three got suspended for the game. And then we all had to run extra sprints in practice the next day so that was fun Holy s***, you just jogged my memory. I went to my friends birthday dinner and some assholes left the check and I had to pay it for my friend. I think that's f***ing over the other tables, more though, I think they knew that. Bastards.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 06:05 PM) How is saying: "Prisoners will not be detained longer than X days without either having charges brought against them, being brought to trial or being released." If youre arrested can you be held in the police station indefinitely with out being charged? My understanding is that in the US, the general time period is 24 hours after being arrested you must be charged or released, unless certain conditions are met. I dont like the idea of letting the govt define "temporarily". But thats just my opinion. I think there is a little more distance and logistics involved here, no?
