  1. the bonds v. colon went pretty far too
  2. who was that short white outfielder for the royals that in 04 kept making ridiculous catches against us and hitting all over us? also...anyone planning on going to the sox @ royals game on april 20-22 i believe are the dates?
  3. man i don't like this. I hope it works out, but i hope we don't dig ourselves a hole in april before we figure out it doesn't work.
  4. is this eminem thing gonna stick? mine is the same as baltas. i'm so excited that logan came back. The legend will show up.
  5. i'm sorry that floyd having a great day and danks having two poor innings but knowing what he did wrong doesn't shock me. I see nothing here that is discouraging.
  6. danks honesty probably won't last that long so these quote are pretty awesome. He seems real cool. That third article makes me root for all of 'em though.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 08:44 AM) I'm really digging Ola Podrida - Ola Podrida. And if anyone cares, the new version of MediaMonkey is glorious. ooo i had no idea. thanks!
  8. QUOTE(zimne piwo @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 05:38 AM) Just loaded the DVD player and watched "Inning #6" again last night, let's just say that despite how great the first two ALDS games were, that was the defining moment where I first thought "hey, we're going to win this whole thing!!!" Let's not forget that El Duque didn't stop there and pitched two more fantastic innings after that!!! very true. He was so on during the playoffs it was incredible.
  9. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 02:43 AM) I don't think that's true. When Crede first made the big leagues, he seemed to be pretty overwhelmed at the plate and not very aggressive to me (and that's not criticism -- I can't even imagine what it's like to try to hit at the big league level). I think that's probably how a lot of players are early in their careers. Lots of players have recovered from terrible starts in the bigs, and lots of players haven't. At this point, I think its too early to write Anderson off. Given the health problems of Pods and Erstad, I'd hope the Sox don't ship BA off just yet. the august before crede tore it up one september i think 03 maybe, crede was up in bases loaded situations seemingly everyday and kept popping it up to ss. I remember one game i attended he had two such situations and the same thing happened.
  10. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 04:12 PM) Well Let me submit this inning... 8th Inning vs Houston 2005 World Series Game 1 4-3 White Sox... Tavarez doubles off Contreras Cotts replaces Contreras Berkman singles off Cotts... Cotts then K's Ensberg on straight gas...1 out (OK now a DP gets us off the hook) Cotts then K's Lamb (13 straight Fastballs from Cotts to the 2 hitters)... Jenks replaces Cotts to face Bagwell Burke runs for Berkman Burke steals 2nd on 0-2 After several foul balls with the go-ahead run in scoring position ...Jenks K's Bagwell...Crowd goes wild!! Lead perserved, Sox add insurance in the 8th, the sweep started IMO a better IP and more important IP than El Duque, but it did take 2 P's i was amazed at how little coverage this got in the dvds. Seriously incredible inning in an overall great game. but the el duque one was absolutely insane. Funny story, when he struck out damon i thought he had walked him, and i was screaming and swearing when everyone else was cheering, it took me a second to adjust and then acted like my swearing was the good kind.

yeah, pretty surf rock-ish. Better than his last but not as good as tyranny of distance.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 16, 2007 -> 09:39 PM) It's on MLB.tv I just watched it for old times sake, chills and goosebumps. Such a great moment. oh boy, i watched that and then iguchis 3 run jack then Grand slam vs. the astros and i had to put on a sweater.
  13. QUOTE(Vance Law @ Mar 16, 2007 -> 11:34 PM) go onto the White Sox homepage, look in Multimedia, Top Plays Archive

maybe they should just kill off charlie he's an awful character whom i care nothing about. "CLAIRE CHARLIES HERE!!!"
  17. sounds like some sort of act from a schizotypal
  18. read it, spot on. Realy no need for the "prediction" from the stat gurus. Though i think a tanked season is possible (of course) i still see us too talented not to at least be 500. not a bad article for a national publication though.

wow, what they could do with jack now. I tend to think jack will be an "other" and then in the future will remember who he is and turn against them and go back to the camp.
  22. that must hurt to taste some success then lose it. I'm sure most guys would still kill for that in the minors if they had no shot.
  23. did nunez used to pitch for the marlins?

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 04:23 AM) I agree. I have all but one of this season's episodes still on my DVR. I like to watch The Office when I can fast-forward through the commercials and focus on the show, with no distractions. I don't like to watch it live. You would think that the Nielson Ratings would somehow be able to account for what is being recorded in addition to what is being watched. That said, in all my years, I have never known anyone to be a "Nielsen Family". Is there some shroud of secrecy or is it just possible, in my 38 years, 3 cities and fairly large base of acquaintances it is purely coincidental? my family did it once.

QUOTE(longshot7 @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 06:29 PM) See Letters from Iwo Jima. More or less, the same story. But done well. Very well. Agree w/ everyone about Sin City. HORRIBLE movie. I walked out. it's not more or less the same story. One was based off of actual events, the other was based off of a comic book. It's a comic book movie. As was sin city.
