yeah i'm glad that other people are like me. Its true that sox fans are peas in a pod... last night i was explaining to a yankee fan friend, the white sox actually WINNING in the playoffs was never in my REALM of thinking...i realized that they could be in the playoffs, i realized that theoretically they could win in the playoffs, but i never actually imagined the WHITE SOX WINNING in the playoffs. Its incredible. And like other people said, the further we go, the more just like taken aback and shocked you get. Last night when paulie hit the home run, i didn't go nuts like i usually do, i was with all my friends (i'm the only sox fan) and when it went over all i said was "are you serious? oh my god" this team is a lot like a home run, you know it was hit hard, and every time you think the outfielder has it lined up, the ball keeps sailing over his head... Heres to hoping the wind doesn't knock it down before it goes over the wall
  4. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) The put out is recorded by the catcher who completes the play. The swing and a miss is only part of the play, just like grounding to the second baseman is only part of a routine out at first. The offensive team has to complete the play, which is either the catcher catching the ball, or the batter/runner being tagged out. Continuing the analogy, the first baseman could drop the throw from second but could still pick up the ball and tag the runner or base on the force. Clearer? thank you this solved it for me
  5. okay puns not used so far High Fidelity grosse point blank eight men out identity
  6. i'm more confused now, what is this rule?
  7. yeah, stop listening to zach de la rocha and just put in some john denver...haha, nice switch up
  8. haha, i ALMOST like winning like this a bit more, if only because it pisses everyone off, and ends the curse talk and white sox nation... this was fun eh?
  9. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 04:07 AM) Well, BBTN went back and looked at tape. Found two different times where there was a strike three swinging on a sox batter. He went arm out, fist. In the same time frame (lazily). Same thing he did in the 9th. great... but yet the white sox won. be happy buddy.
  10. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 03:58 AM) I'll tell you one thing. There's a reason every single Angel, to a man, was pissed. The ump used improper mechanics, and a lack of verbal cues. and yet, we won.
  11. it was a tie game... its not like we were losing and won with the call... god, we still had to make that hit... it could have easily been forgotten had they struck out crede... they didn't sox won b****ES...i hope everyone hates us...f***ing way its always been

  14. after that play: we stole a base we hit a double so take that
  15. QUOTE(Shingotime!! @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 03:12 AM) imho, that ball was caught cleanly, were showing our biased guys the kid from jersey said the frame play looked like it hit the dirt,, so i said hey... but what the f***, this play could have easily been non controversial
  16. we could have just as easily made that play non contriversial...Holy f***ing s*** is all i had to say, me and my friend tim were standing up watching, crede hits it, we just held eachother in the gayest way possible, and were yelling WHOA WHOA WHOA, then ran threw the hall going nuts
