  1. I don’t think there is a difference, get whatever they like most. You can always repackage the prospects - turn it into a Bassett, Castillo, Montas, etc
  2. I feel like the pop up pitchers like Ray, Wheeler, Corbin, Lynn’s have been much more reliable money the last five years than the established Keuchel, Bumgarners.
  3. Yeah well I started that thread. Appreciate the congrats
  4. I mean let’s get DeGrom right?
  5. remarkable how well these projections have been so far. They are usually complete crap.
  6. Fegan probably doing backflips.
  7. sox will definitely add some more, cheaper bullpen players. And if they break out and are good, there are solutions like trading Graveman (see: mariners) or keeping him and having more relievers.
  8. another year, another offseason where Soxtalk thinks the Dodgers are going to deal from depth ?
  9. baseballsavant has his slider become much more prominent in 2021, and he completely ditched his cutter. His slider gets great drop and break, so looks like a pretty sweet pitch. And like tepera, he used all 4 pitches pretty often.
  10. Yes, sorry to say this is the going rate for relievers. And while teams are good at finding relievers each year, playoff teams do tend to pay for them because nobody wants to be the phillies. For example, check out Relievers in arb3. They aren't cheap.
  11. I agree they need more relievers, I don't think they can afford Tepera.
  12. just to clarify: I know Kimbrel is likely gone I don't think we sign Tepera knowing this move
  13. I wonder if this is actually a Tepera replacement.
  14. Graveman is sorta like a right handed bummer right? Lots of GBs?
  15. I think that's a good deal, I do, it's just hilarious nonetheless. $38 million currently tied into 3 relievers. I think we can buy the Guardians roster with that.
  16. his comps are fine. At 31, Robinson Cano got a 10 year deal for 240 million. Rendon as a 30 year old got a 7 year, 245 deal. Machado is signed through age 37, Lindor 36. This is not a strange starting point for him to be making.
  17. sorry but there is very little comparison to a market like free agency with 30 competing buyers and few comparable resources and a 250k home in lisle
  18. did we? How many years did we buy out? I thought we just got 1
  19. I think we can all just congratulate Cali for proposing a nice trade last year
  20. eh, it's a short week, I don't think it's that weird. I don't think this means it's "botched" except it leaking. Who cares? they now get that 3 week pre-end of season period to interview. Whether this week, next, it's not that different.
  21. So this all goes to some guy on patch, which I didn't know still existed. However, waddle?silvy? somebody said it's a longtime chicago reporter, so who knows.
  22. Have the White Sox yet made a map showing how close Glendale Arizona is to California? It's basically like playing there full time.
  23. John Means for Vaughn huh ? would much rather keep vaughn and try and keep working on Lopez. This looks like a Quintana trade and we aren't the sox end.
