I'm excited to put too much stock in preseason basketball. Also go Sky.

Yeah, I think the sox for most of the year have had stretches with virtually one guy carrying them. And their best stretch was when we had a remarkable cast of help of goodwin, hamilton, leury, and a whole lot of Grandal with dominant pitching. But the last few weeks we have had pretty good stretches of TA + Robert + Grandal + Moncada, and hopeful last series from Eloy/Abreu. But still we have had games of just blanks even with that lineup. But aside from the Giants, every team even the dodgers has had some real clunky parts of the season and some en feugo parts. We know if all the guys click at once we'll be in the World Series, honestly. But if it is just a hot robert and Grandal, we've also seen that isn't enough.

Feels like the players whom the moment was too big for are gone, the players who lived up to it (TA, Robert, Eloy, Gio) are here, and then Rodon is probably one who failed last year that is our fulcrum.

In the AL, I just don’t think there is much of a tier in quality from the top 5. Tampa, to me, is built for the regular season dominance, is a likely favorite but doesn’t feel inevitable. Their depth among other things means to me I’m they won’t get crushed in a game of a player (pitcher) underperforms. The Yankees could hit 30 home runs. The Astros are a very well rounded team but have had some bullpen struggles. The Red Sox feel the weakest but also have had hot SP, Bullpen and offensive stretches.

It will be difficult to win any series. It will come down to starting pitching, bullpen and offense IMO.

Probably but it would be better if people watched it -

It’s okay for special stuff to be special. Pretty sure the west coast is happy not to play at 4pm every day. If anything it’s a shame MLB can’t get a big network to have a “coast to coast” show cutting across all the game 162 happenings like a final day red zone. -
Nice job by Dylan. Not bad at first for Vaughn.

Woo hoo! I really like YouTube tv

We should have had an option asking “and will you be happy or miserable” with 80% of the 92 and first place option apparently miserable

This game has been quite long yet I just said to myself “whoa it’s already the ninth”

The Orioles were actually very good most of his tenure!

Our Padres SME has arrived

Tepera pitching like he has really is a boost. Let's us use our non-kimbrel/hendriks guys for good inning matchups and not need to throw crochet and bummer in every tough situation.

biggest jinx in history

obviously that's hilarious?

The other really fun thing is I can't imagine a worse offseason to try and need to offload Manny, from the abundance of elite MI talent to the CBA. Truly a hilarious situation, I am cackling.

lol sorry, I saw it was trending and am enjoying the padres schadenfreude too much. (also if he was traded it confirms my priors during the pursuit that you can always get out of big contracts)
-
It is extremely, extremely funny to me that padres are likely to finish below .500.

I don't think that's a controversial take

I wish I could remember which poster kept tracking Gavin Sheets through birmingham as I was like "meh can't hit for power as a 23 year old 1b who cares" because they hopefully are enjoying this. That is just an unbelievably sweet swing the way only a left handers can be.

something I forgot to ask is what injury happened to Bryce Bush? Never remember an update but he was out basically from the first week and now all the way through instructs

The dream for #2 seed still alive.
