  1. I'm not sure if murakami is a good idea, but I'm holding onto it just as some sign that the white sox are a major league baseball team that exists and is participating in baseball like the others.
  2. yeah, this is a big thing. I think Lenyn's bat has been so great compared to what I'd expect, but if you picture meidroth last year you picture that crazy creative slide to second base around a tag. You picture Lenyn it's not stepping on first base by like 3 feet when fielding a throw. Lenyn was unfortunate to spend his life since age 16 in the white sox org. Kinda does that.
  3. Just an extremely los angeles angels signing.
  4. You sound like you know more, I'm more commenting in that I don't believe the sox will sign helpful free agents, but I leave an open area for DHs, 1b, and Relief (also known as the positions you can get under 80 million)
  5. I unno man. I'm not saying Murakami is a sure bet, but if there is one signing that wouldn't surprise me it would be going after a high profile first baseman from abroad.
  6. It is astonishing seeing the records, NFC must have really beat the crap out of AFC this year to have this kind of imbalance. For much of the first 10 games was still in a 'waiting to exhale' mode, with caleb and all of it. Finally getting to settle in and just watch good, sometimes great, and rarely bad football team. While still so nervous about how Poles can take us to next level on d-line, it's hard to watch the bears in November/December and not wonder where we'd be without loveland/burden. Not eyepopping stats, but such a huge part of what we do.
  7. Harris reminds me of the type of guy Pitt could poach and end up coaching 20 years there
  8. I'm sorta in the 'only grab a pitcher' camp of rule 5. Arms randomly shoot up, and can be useful even when bad. There have been some decent hits on fielders, but just not worth it to me.
  9. that was the aforementioned Chili. Now that he's older though I'm sure the slang would adjust to what is now currently the great things in his life. BlAcKrOcH 401k or something
  10. Yes this was what I remembered but that could have been from summer before.
  11. I was unsure, thought Crews was still riding high then. Can’t trust my memory anymore.
  12. I don’t even remember the last time the presumed #1 guy in winter was 1.1.
  13. Can’t wait for chilis nickname for Roch.
  14. While getting Roch is nice, it’s as much about getting the extra $2mill or so for the rest of the draft. I may be off but, whatever the delta. Nice to have.
  15. Crochet for Teel. Trade Crochet to Dodgers for Rushing. Trade Rushing next year back for Crochet. Trade Crochet to Cubs for Ballasteros.
  16. What do we think friendship to Bruce Levine is like
  17. I’m struggling to care about anything except winning the draft lottery.
  18. I also wonder if this is just Bruce getting used by wisdoms agent since he’d certainly know Bruce is dumb.
  19. It's still a good thing, but also totally a "boy these US free agents are expensive, maybe lets kick the tires on the NPL and KBO retreads"
  20. We were so excited they finally have a scout based in Japan then, as always, horrified at the results.
  21. His name is Andrew Benintendi
  22. I mean the thing with the Marvin Lewis bengals was he made the playoffs every year just never won. Big difference compared to going to the playoffs twice in 12 years and never winning.
  23. While still skeptical of Poles talent evaluation, it was hard not to appreciate his accomplishments yesterday. The offensive line is one of the best in the league, largely due to the offseason moves of Dalman, Jackson and Thuney. One of the reasons it was easy for me to fly off on Poles when that group started slow (esp Dalman) was that despite it being commonly said that it takes oline and offense time to gel, as a bears fan it’s been pretty rare to see our groups improve in season. They are either good right away and slowly atrophy, or bad and stay bad. The bears across almost every major position group have been improving, as people who watch functioning organizations say is possible. Quite a sight. the one area that will still paint as disappointing is DLine, which is way too expensive to be this mid. But even they played great vs the run yesterday.
  24. That’s funny I thought herbstreit was pretty kind to Caleb despite it being one of his rougher games. He was often pointing out the WR slips causing throws to look off. Biggs 10 thoughts are so epic. With the athletic giving up on covering sports, he’s really taken the lead of must read bears reporters: https://www.chicagotribune.com/2025/11/29/chicago-bears-brad-biggs-10-thoughts-week-13/
