People focus on this as the Sox wooing Betts, and should also focus on Betts wooing Reinsdorf. If acquires, Sox would already be committing to a near $30 mill contract and are just working out a raise. And we’ve seen Reinsdorf this week be willing to overpay to players he sees as part of the organization. All in all, its all unlikely. But there isn’t an organization in baseball that could be better helped by adding Betts The next 5 years than the white Sox.

I missed this. I think this was unwise but it is what it is. Jose is a lovely white Sox, he’s done nothing but produce (but I think he will be unlikely to continue to). I do just hate the idea the Sox have that the rest of baseball is so stupid in signing top talent to expensive long term deals but do stuff like this and don’t bat an eye and consider themselves being aggressive.

I honestly don’t get it. Seriously. Ues, it’s plausible stone - whose employment rests with the Sox - is speaking on information from the Sox. But the Sox also hate “leaks”. They pride themselves in breaking news themselves. I just don’t know whether to give a crap about stones stuff.

I think this year has shown me Bulls need to move off of lavine, but willing to wait to see if Porter can provide some minutes because it all seemed to work better when he was healthy for like 10 games last year. Lauri needs a playmaker on the court badly, which shows his limitations. WCJ Should be allowed in that role more (playmaker)

I am confused by Stone's whole role here. I don't think sox decisionmakers would actually give him stuff knowing his new play to be the sox...whatever he's doing now. But I also don't think it's uninformed speculation, maybe it's just at the scout level or something.
