Interesting, in DSL Jimenez started an inning and now Guzmán in. 1 IP, 1 ER, 2ks. I wonder how many innings he gets.

Logan Glass homer. maldanado been hitting the ball a bit, having a better year 2.

Yeah if we buy a bat I want to get a real bat. But if we fail there it is rough not knowing how poor our DH floor could be again.
-
He had a higher wRC+ last year!
-
wRC+ is not position adjusted, but it would put him about 7th among qualified DHs, I lowered that a bit, but 10th among DHs of at least 300 PAs edit: I'm a bit confused by your question but the 120 wRC+ would slot him 7th, for OPS it would put him 8th.

I don't know of last time we had an 18 year old with an iso that high as an 18 year old in AZ. Funny enough it beats Courtney Hawkins who had a .129 iso in AZ . Hawkins k rate was only 23%, that's funny. Wish we had more industry hubub on him to know if there's some fatal flaw. He clearly faded last year and was on a terrible team. This year he's had a second wind in August. Interested to see if we get any info from the instructs games in late sept.

White Sox are 24th in OBP and 24th in wRC+. They have gotten -3.5 WAR from their DH but luckily they traded a wRC+ of 120 player because his iso just straight up would not have worked.

It is so weird how people act like this is a thing. - No reason castillo needed to be on team, he was bad and left team out to try after signing him to a contract - No reason the team couldn't upgrade bullpen without trading Narvaez The reason you give up on Narvaez would be if you thought his bat was the issue, but he has now posted back to back years with a 120 wRC+. That beats our 1b, that beats our DH, and it beats the last several years of DHs. He has a high obp, his bat can handle the lower .iso - because he was cheap and under control. A 1.5-2 WAR LH hitting player that can play catcher and is plus offensively would be valuable. The team needed a "defensive" catcher for their pitchers, they chose Castillo over Narvaez, not McCann over Narvaez.

In the most expensive league I'm in that I never do well in, it has incredibly sticky keeper options and I somehow always end up picking 12th in the draft (3rd year in a row). I feel like regardless of math getting 12th pick in a keeper league ends up putting you at a disadvantage, and it puts me on tilt to always feel like I need to draft for high variance players to find a cheap keeper and ruins my drafts. -
I was wondering what happened, and kinda weird how they only display 5 catchers and two are Zack Collins and Seby Zevala.

his defense isn't that different than wellington castillo and is a 120 wRC+ player. The blind hatred of narvaez on this board reminds me of when people hid under their pillows and said "no actually tatis is bad! He strikes out as a 19 year old in AA!", "no semien will never be able to stick at SHORT" As a left handed counterpart to james mccann he would have been a good addition who can also provide his bat (currently better than any DH/1B we have). Narvaez does not need to make that much of an improvement to smooth out value. Certain posters think that means he will improve to become elite, and that's not what people are saying. It may take time but he just has to marginally upgrade his worst tendencies to be playable as a part time catcher.

Yeah I ended up with Kamara and then aaron jones and damien williams. Bell was paid as an RB1 in our league. I missed out on getting ingram but got a little flex with justice hill. I wanted some part of baltimore run game in case it is very stable points week to week. WR I messed up on. Went in sure I'd give what it took for Julio jones but when I paid for kamara I freaked out about being able to get enough RBs. Ended up with Hill as my WR 1 but I am not deep at WR and just hope I can play waivers and find a surprise. -

I think chubb/conner are the only legit "tier 2" rbs...it was a tough draft this year. -

12, all went a bit over 60. I don’t know that my league is a gauge of anything though, at least compared to what resources on prices come out. -

Had my auction league last night. It went meh. I screwed up tight end, but weird thing was whole league changed strategies at once. Always had a few teams where issues were they left too much money on table. It let you get more high end money for cheap. This year everyone bid after their guys, but it meant those that were more patient cleaned up on that 20-50 range and I regret not being part of that. -
Man, sounds like a great night.

There was a legit thing after ozzie that Konerko could be player-manager. -
