  1. I woudl really like to see nagy add some of the eagles run concepts, and ravens run concepts honestly. Trubisky ain't lamar jackson but he's pretty fast.
  2. They didn’t cut him they traded him.

TA is by far the biggest feather in this front offices cap. He was a highly risky pick in 2013 and in a 1st round redraft he'd almost certainly be a top 3 pick.

The thing that most blows me away with Moncada was his improvement as a RH hitter. And that goes to show you the patience needed there, they just need to get consistent reps on that side. He was absolutely awful last year as a LH, I'd say 90% of his improvement this year is just him moving from awful to good in those at bats. He cut his k%, and where he added 14 more hits almost all of them were power hits. 9 more 2bs, 1more 3bs, double the HRs.
  5. Keenum definitely needs a perfect set-up like he had in minnesota, unfortunately there aren't that many jobs like that. Jags would have been better but foles > keenum. Also is it just me or is chris thompson still clearly the best back in washington? Everytime that guy touches the ball it's electric but they just give him screens in garbage time.
  6. I needed a confidence builder thou!
  7. Can I ban moan yet
  8. Mitch is bad but this offensive line was supposed to be great and has consistently been getting beat...by good and bad lines.
  9. Man what a disappointing start of the year. Just unwatchable slop.
  10. So the bears find out about pineiros injury on Saturday and decide to play him at 50% rather than get a 100% kicker for a game. And now a Bobby massie scratch. Not good feels prior to this one.
  11. I was just diagnosing the issue, not advocating that they continue being so hands off with development while every other team in league gets more hands on
  12. He's very good at developing young defensive talent.
  13. It is definitely dragged down by being unable to uncover depth players that can handle mlb pitching. The Anderson quote that he hadn't really been taught any of the art of hitting before coming up to MLB with steverson was pretty telling. They are only now, reportedly, being supplied with information on how pitchers will attack them and how to counter it, and I think that's a big part of this with all these young players coming up to mlb completely overwhelmed. I think best way to counter probably is to get mlb players who already have a refined approach. I am hopeful some of these mets fits are possible, but they are at a weird point as an org.
  14. I have sunday ticket this year, which is doubly fun becuase the bears haven't played at noon yet. My channel pretty firmly stays on the ravens. At some point the defenses may adjust, but for now that is one fun team to watch.
  15. Nobody wants to frame every damn nfl story or game around Trubisky. This thread is so boring because of it.
  16. I get the gist of the tweet but that is one terrible sentence
  17. - because everyone in positions of authority during this playoff drought has been promoted. The only person that they saw fit to remove for their part in the ineptitude was Robin Ventura, who wasn’t even technically fired - Similar issues in free agent decisions, role of international pipeline, player development and amateur drafting have occurred during the last three years as occurred in the prior 4, so while it’s expected to not win many games during rebuild, it is still possible to comment on the process during that time. And because there was no clearing house after the failures of the Sale era, they will not get benefit of the doubt when previous themes keep appearing. They were able with high draft picks and trading elite, cheap talent to infuse high end young talent into the org. But as before, it is unseen if there is enough depth internally to support it, and no track record of free agency being a pipeline to support it.
  18. Also holy crap I’ve never seen this before
  19. I’m sure twitter isn’t a great sign of actual temperature of fans (and I know in the heat of a collapse like that I’d also be pissed) but I have definitely been surprised by the anger at the team. Meaning fans clamoring to no longer have to root for this same core.
  20. The idea that they cannot be criticized for results because rebuilds take time white washes the reality that the team was in such poor shape after four years under this management that a rebuild was the fastest way to contention with their constraints. I’m glad they rebuilt because it was the first time under Hahn they made correct strategic play, but it shouldn’t take any GM 8 years to make the playoffs. The details obscure that obvious fact.
  21. What would have happened had they not started a rebuild?
