  1. Now, I wouldn't expect that. Avila had a fantastic year with the tigers, albeit was older and with no more control, but brought back very little from the cubs.
  2. Lopez has mostly been caught by castillo. And I have a hard time assigning Giolito's resurgence and velocity to mccann. As someone else said, if someone is going to pay you as if Mccann is a top 5 catcher on a 2.5 mill deal, you listen.
  3. The right trade could appear to set you back, but actually vault you forward.

So Ronaldo Guzman, the 16 year old that had a favorable writeup from Ben Badler for having an athletic, easy delivery and was already touching 89, has had a great start in DSL: 4IP, 5 hits, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 Ks for today, and for season 8 IP, 10ks, 3 BBs, 1 ER, 1.13 WHIP. Looks like this may be the pitcher to watch in DSL.
  5. Yeah I was excited for this. For as much money as the athletic has you'd think they'd spring for mic's for their podcasts.
  6. Said it before but I would still acquire andrew cashner to provide some starter relief. He should not require sending much out. He's not good, but he may perform better against the AL central teams vs. AL east, and is still averaging 5.33 innings per start. It's like what Ivan Nova was supposed to be.
  7. And the running assumption with Thompson is slot should be all he needs?
  8. Yeah nothing on Trenkles Twitter has made it seem like he’s going anywhere but OSU. Krogman seems gettable, and hopefully Glass
  9. People counting out warriors down only six as if they aren’t one of the great score in bunches team of all time. (go raptors)
  10. OP updated. seems like to date we are over $335k from the rounds 11-40 at this point, while under 670k at this point from senior signs that we know of (though futuresox indicates we are looking at 10k signings for the other 3 senior picks so I imagine this will grow by whatever additional slot there is -30k).
  11. Acosta being more than Torres I find kinda interesting.
  12. That’s all.
  13. Considering the timing I bet he starts in AZL
  14. That was my first thought as well.
  15. Love sending business letters in the mail.
  16. You know, he was able to get a lot of time in the major leagues whereas had he been claimed by most other teams he would have never had the chance. This is a happy story even if he didn't produce at the level he wishes he could have.
  17. He's given up no runs in the majors!
  18. Why did you include Marshall?

DSL won 5-2: - Anthony Espinoza (a guy): 2-4, BB, 2 2b - Pineda (sort of a guy): 2-4 - Leal/Bernal/Bailey: 2 BB a piece. This team actually doesn't strike out that much (one dude had 4 ks but the rest only had 5). That's one of my favorite parts of DSL, how all of the hitters strike out all the time but none of the pitchers strike anyone out. Homer Cruz struck out 5 over 5 with only 1 ER. He's 19 and signed this year so probably nothin. Oriel Castro is 18 and struck out 3 over 3.
