  1. I was a supporter of Dany turning bad but I have zero clue why she started indiscriminately flaming people. They can’t just expect a dramatic look to do that work. Her wanting to rule through fear doesn’t cut it.
  2. This is at this point a very bad player development group and that getting players with great tools and luck is a better plan with that then we’ll rounded players who need to improve incrementally with a group that cannot maximize talent.
  3. I was highly confident that Madrigal will do what he needs to to be great. But it’s clear the Sox will not help him and may be feeding his worst impulses.
  4. “Because the Sox player development is bad” should disqualify all of these players then. The Sox have fucked up advanced college bats too. They’ve selected very little high school talent to say anything about it but I’ll say that just I’ve seen enough college bats not improve through higher competition while high school bats surpass them that I don’t care. You aren’t going to be able to hedge against the white Sox bad development in drafting.
  5. Amen. People are also using “raw” in dumb ways here.
  6. He's technically part of the 2018 class, so I don't know that they would anticipate him in the 2019 list.
  7. http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2019?list=int Sox on none, but there are a few yet announced to teams that we can dream on lol just kidding we'll just get the 21 year old from cuba and tatis brother.
  8. I don't disagree, but I don't know that she has to "go mad" as in actually insane. Again, part of her thing was being a better ruler. She has a right to user her military might to just take over and whatever happens to those in the way so be it. But many wanted an end to that, and I think that she's talked so little of it is their way of doing it. But the show runners have absolutely rushed a lot. And I guess I am just sympathetic to the real-life issues they have to deal with. This show is one of the few that absolutely probably required at least 10 seasons but at the same pace of the first 4 - likely 12-14. But you can't keep everyone on contract that long, and you'd end up in that terrible late series issue where you are killing people off because they want out of the show rather than based on plot. It had to wrap up, there was a lot to cover, but the beauty of the show at its peak was how detailed and how it didn't condescend to the viewer. But it just doesn't have a lot of time, and I think if people feel that dani is rightfully rational in losing everyone around her and responding by just crushing shit with her dragon, that's not a bad thing.
  9. He wasn't a failed mascot. He was perfect. Everyone else failed. We failed him.
  10. Honestly feels like he thinks there is a minimum weight for the 5 hole hitter. "No, not anderson, he is not fat enough"
  11. The 2020 class is supposedly good...if you feel that way and you are texas would you consider drafting a guy and purposely tanking the negotiation just to double up then?
  12. My name is bmags, and I have found lineup complaining to largely be disproportionate to its impact. But the last two lineups are so frustrating, and I am so sick of this employment of the L-R matchups as the uber strategy in baseball. Today's lineup.
  13. He'll want to stay NL, but his AL market will probably be better. ATL maybe best suitor in NL.
  14. Just to further my point, his only explicit sox reference was also discussing taking Vaughn.
  15. This is what I'm thinking. Not Kershaw/Greinke money but maybe between the 23-26 mill and 6 year range
  16. You never know, I bet every fan of a team in the top ten would think its them. Could just as well be orioles.
  17. If Bumgarner can maintain his recent velocity uptick then he's much more attractive. I'd still bet on a dude like him to be productive albeit overpaid.
  18. that's probably more positive comments than actually good sox prospects.
  19. I wanted to see his krate get to at least 28% so if he can make it 25% legitimately I don't see why he can't reach all of the potential people saw in him.
  20. Man Kodi Medeiros is pitching horribly,
  21. The smokescreen stuff is so weird for the mlb draft. You can't trade picks so who cares if people know your board?
  22. My point wasn't to demand calling up Robert it's to show that it wouldn't preclude declining on Eaton. But no I'm on Cordell over Palka now. Palka's defensive value was too low and he didn't show improvement in any respect in obp so he lost his chance.
  23. from Kiley's Chat: Time Baby 12:30 Is Greg Jones a possibility for the Sox at #45? Kiley McDaniel 12:30 yeah, if they take Vaughn at 3, I could see them going for more upside with the 2nd pick And Jones may get there ++++ Greg Jones: "Draft eligible sophomore was an athlete-to-watch in high school, still is somewhat unrefined but has huge tools: 7 speed, power from both sides, fits somewhere up the middle." SS, UNC-Wilmington http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?ID=209973 Turned 21 in March Slashing .331/.486/.512 with a 18% walk rate and 13% k rate
