People that do this are crazy. Sox should at least give the 10 people there passes to the bullpen bar/club restaurant -

Man who would go to this game. -
So I was being flip, but I actually think lineage is as good a thing as any to go on with kids this young. You could tell Paddy had a pretty good relationship with the Tatis's from this very good article in the athletic https://theathletic.com/884960/2019/03/25/everybody-was-surprised-but-here-we-are-an-oral-history-of-how-the-padres-acquired-fernando-tatis-jr/

Oh I have a pretty good idea how it's going to shake out.
-
I think that was the dodgers with the rib injury? Because he would have been in majors with white sox the year prior to trade.

Guys - tonight i'm going to do it. I'm going to add up the WAR of all of Ricks free agents through 2018 and compare it to the money paid. I'll put it in a google sheets and maybe if anyone else wants to join we could get an actual comparison on other teams The hard part is there is a bit of an art where you have to decide which guys were real free agents vs. just looking at the transaction log. Easy to do for white sox, harder for other teams.

Sure is. 2nd half kanny last year was boring, and maybe the most interesting one stayed behind (curbelo). Jirschelle still finds ways to get those guys to win though.

Gorman never gets the flu

This isn't lineup, but I'd be interested in Wacha in Free Agency.

Sosa now below .400 ?

Rendon of course was so talented that he barely played in W-S, but was moved up to AA after 32 plate appearances in A+ where he had a 1.032 OPS. Next year in AA he put up a 1.027 OPS for 166 PAs before being ushered up to AAA for a cup of coffee and then the big leagues, where at age 23 he batted .265 and his lowest OPS of his career of .725 Sheets sported a .775 OPS in A+ over 450 PAs and is currently batting .077 in birmingham. Great pros, even average pros, almost always had minor league careers of fantastic productivity. At this point you just hope Sheets is an outlier where something randomly clicks and he thinks "oh i'm a huge human being, I should stop hitting grounders"

We'll need a good 1b/dh just the same.
-
Will we be importing the Rays and Stl player development staffs too?
-
Curbelo with a double, bryce bush sac fly. Walker walked (snicker) and then got caught stealing.

Right, but AZ could very well go high ticket shopping and get 2-3 players they realllly like but then run a very traditional draft afterward. But with 500k here or there, they could also just clean house on that top prep talent in the typical 20-40 range and get everyone they believe in and outbid any one. THey'll be fun to watch. I would bet they don't go overslot for a college first baseman.

He's not in today's W-S lineup again.

I like this blurb from FG on LHP Prep Pitcher Blake Walston: Popup arm in Wilmington, NC area is 6'4 with lots of projection, 17 on draft day and a knockout breaking ball. Ranked 50 overall and listed as a riser.

And falling off because of body concerns. God I hate body concerns. I still like the Madrigal pick. I have found players with very high baseball IQs to be a good indicator of getting most out of talent, and I have found many high contact guys have gotten more power than frame/prior work have indicated, the latest being Willians Astudillo, who is less well rounded in every way than Madrigal but has made it to big leagues and keeps producing.

Yeah. I would really like to know if the astros were drafting one now, how much they would value the savings now that its a much less dramatic slot value for first pick (vs when they were at top of draft). And the other aspect there is still needing to go head to head with AZ who has a war chest. How certain can they be of who they can target with the savings if AZ wants the same player? Those are the parts where I just don't know if the 1-1.5 million they can save will be valuable enough, but they may also just love a different player. Maybe this guy will fall in love with riley greene or something really dramatically cheaper.

The Lopez/Randle/Zubac stuff was the worst moves. Russell is still kind of a weird player and you really have to credit Brooklyn, but I wouldn't be surprised if Brooklyn doesn't match if Russell gets an offer.

Why don't you believe this? The timing? You think they are trying to get a good deal on Witt?
