Did you see that bump of the Eno Sarris post? Yeah, dude needs to stop throwing his 4 seamer 65% of the time.

love getting these mlb at bat updates and always knowing it's not good.

Ozuna climbs fence and holds on to try catch
They should be able to do whatever while still staying in play, but this was almost as funny as Jose Abreu's "home run" where jackie bradley jr flipped over the fence and dropped the ball edit: it was mookie: https://www.mlb.com/redsox/news/mookie-betts-hurt-on-catch-that-is-ruled-homer/c-139316718

They are so good. Especially if they turn meadows around too. We just need one of soxtalk to win one of these yearly billion dollar lotteries, do a quick circuit to make enough rich friends to put together a winning bid for the white sox, hire jeff sullivan to be GM, then realize we have no actual money to sign people and turn into being the actual rays while we demand the city/state funnel more money through the franchise.

It's great. My favorite part is how after the first warm streak everyone agrees that nobody will put on their parka again so days like today you just grin and bear it with light jackets because mind over matter.

White Sox sign Elijah Tatis, brother of "He Who Shall Not Be Named" per Enrique Rojas
I still so want this to be wrong, hope that's okay.

People that do this are crazy. Sox should at least give the 10 people there passes to the bullpen bar/club restaurant

It's just like the nfl "tampering" period, mlb knows it happens and won't punish it but you aren't supposed to acknowledge it.

Man who would go to this game.

So I was being flip, but I actually think lineage is as good a thing as any to go on with kids this young. You could tell Paddy had a pretty good relationship with the Tatis's from this very good article in the athletic https://theathletic.com/884960/2019/03/25/everybody-was-surprised-but-here-we-are-an-oral-history-of-how-the-padres-acquired-fernando-tatis-jr/

It’ll be like how we have the only bad Guerrero

The Rick Hahn Dynasty
Oh I have a pretty good idea how it's going to shake out.
-
Frankie Montas
I think that was the dodgers with the rib injury? Because he would have been in majors with white sox the year prior to trade.

The Rick Hahn Dynasty
Guys - tonight i'm going to do it. I'm going to add up the WAR of all of Ricks free agents through 2018 and compare it to the money paid. I'll put it in a google sheets and maybe if anyone else wants to join we could get an actual comparison on other teams The hard part is there is a bit of an art where you have to decide which guys were real free agents vs. just looking at the transaction log. Easy to do for white sox, harder for other teams.

4/10 Game Thread - WS Underway
Sure is. 2nd half kanny last year was boring, and maybe the most interesting one stayed behind (curbelo). Jirschelle still finds ways to get those guys to win though.

2020 Lineup
This isn't lineup, but I'd be interested in Wacha in Free Agency.

2020 Lineup
Rendon of course was so talented that he barely played in W-S, but was moved up to AA after 32 plate appearances in A+ where he had a 1.032 OPS. Next year in AA he put up a 1.027 OPS for 166 PAs before being ushered up to AAA for a cup of coffee and then the big leagues, where at age 23 he batted .265 and his lowest OPS of his career of .725 Sheets sported a .775 OPS in A+ over 450 PAs and is currently batting .077 in birmingham. Great pros, even average pros, almost always had minor league careers of fantastic productivity. At this point you just hope Sheets is an outlier where something randomly clicks and he thinks "oh i'm a huge human being, I should stop hitting grounders"

We'll need a good 1b/dh just the same.

Curbelo with a double, bryce bush sac fly. Walker walked (snicker) and then got caught stealing.

2019 MLB draft thread
Right, but AZ could very well go high ticket shopping and get 2-3 players they realllly like but then run a very traditional draft afterward. But with 500k here or there, they could also just clean house on that top prep talent in the typical 20-40 range and get everyone they believe in and outbid any one. THey'll be fun to watch. I would bet they don't go overslot for a college first baseman.

He's not in today's W-S lineup again.
