  1. In Sun times run down, mentioned Adolfo hit a homer in his first at bat, then homered in his fourth at bat in an intraday after game. Im excited to have Micker back.
  2. Really interesting Abrams discussion. I really like all the profiles of the top four to date. Would be happy with Witt, Abrams Vaughn or Adley obviously. if Misner keeps up you have a nice option of getting a power plus bat, well rounded catcher, two prep shortstops with power, and a top college hitter that can stick in CF. That’s a nice group.
  3. I didn’t say the white Sox should sign him to a long term deal, you said there was no way he would sign a longer deal. But a 2 year contract with a team option for the third year? Who knows, don’t even hate it at two, could be a small payoff of ten million. Maybe he’s terrible, maybe he’s great, these are risks you can afford when you have open spots on 40 man and decreased budget.
  4. He would be a potential asset that you could take the risk on to get at a lower price than he would be otherwise. You have no idea what an additional team option year would have cost, and you don’t know that he wouldn’t have signed a long term deal coming off tommy john, that’s absurd confidence in your assumptions. As it is the Sox have zero interesting trade assets as they paid market value if not more for some average relievers.
  5. They would not have needed to sign him to the same deal, but at the amount it took he’s a nice signing for that arm. Maybe he has a second career in bullpen, maybe he finds a new way to pitch in a different org and with a year off. These are things you can afford in a rebuild and the cost was what we waste money on shitty first baseman anyway.
  6. I was fine with Sox making small moves. I expected them to be able to find with their free playing time what other rebuilding teams found, such as Jesus Aguilar, odubel Herrera, or you know, how the freakin dodgers found max muncy. Thats basically what we are all hoping Palka can be, or else it’s another case of our rebuild underperforming others.
  7. Or pitchers like Pineda who are injured but talented.
  8. Yeah between the comment from kw and the Verducci article that mentioned like 10 teams but not the white Sox it’s hard to believe there was any behind the scenes action.
  9. Well this was a lotta fun. lets hope it doesn’t cost the bulls a decade of dominance.
  10. Lol don’t include chandler in that crew
  11. It’s been a blast. They are gassed right now though.
  12. Yeah I’m just reacting to the nba hell line. Some versions of hell are worse than others, we aren’t talking about those like 09/10/11 bucks teams, that’s the worst to me.
  13. Oh man young is soooooo fun
  14. ATL has been quite good recently. This is a fun game. Hoping ATL wins so I can stop worrying rest of year. Fav part about Lauri recently aside from passing is him muscling down smaller guards any time there is an unfavorable switch.
  15. So glad I was kind to young, he is fun to watch
  16. TCU pitchers ...
  17. No they were doing it as a favor to Robert and it was likely pre negotiated to help sign him.
  18. He played professionally for two years. His first year here he was way underslotted in DSL for tax reasons.
  19. I’d rather Robert learn in AA than A tbh. He’s been stateside for two years, he’d get consistency with Vizquel, get to work on better breaking balls and a more challenging park.
  20. I think he's a plus plus runner but we've seen plus plus runners suck on the basepaths before (micah johnson). He's in major league camp now and was moved aggressively last year. He needs to time to get used to better pop times and pitchers.
  21. I mostly just get mad at the ryan cordell trade.
  22. Please stay healthy this year leury.
  23. Sorry, I should have quoted. Was responding to someone saying KW turned down a mully/haugh interview, and I was joking about it since they are among the easiest interviews in chicago media.
  24. I realize you want shortstops to be instinctual but these kids grow in these years and sometimes need to adapt to their new bodies. I just can't get that nervous over a lack of fluidity when he has such high marks athletically,
