  1. Yeah this all seems reasonable to me, and that scares me. I'm a bit shook right now. We made it through the first year of rebuild with no prospect taking significant step back through either injury or play. Well, regression hit hard this year.
  2. The lack of burton was mystifying to me. I thought pack may make concerted effort to take away middle of field since trubisky has not shown he'll burn you out wide and maybe that was case. Again, scary to me the packers shifted to zone and bears had no ability to recognize pre-snap. I thought that was the benefit of this offense.
  3. The difference to me is that Watson has shown that he can throw up big numbers in a game. I expect highs and lows but the highs for trubisky have been nothing you couldn't get from signing someone like Tyrod Taylor or other free agent qb tier acquisitions. Okay, he can controlt he ball, but he rarely throws over 200 yards and has terrible time finding end zone. Those should be "low" games but instead we say that is a decent game.
  4. Mitch’s press conference he was saying Packers switched to zone and bears kept calling plays for man. uh, wasn’t that the point of our new pre snap motions to identify that and not run bad plays?
  5. I get it, but it does scare me that Trubisky has looked so bad in big moments.
  6. At some point, Bears are going to have to win games. It’s been 4 years.
  7. They should have gone for it, absolutely.
  8. The only thing that gets me is can anyone name me a good qb that has looked like Mitch has looked for this many games now? May best we are in the Kirk cousins / Alex smith territory, and what I saw out of mahomes and Watson today? Good god.
  9. So am I right this would likely lower his arb numbers?
  10. Uh it was pretty scary
  11. Same except i follow Bears a lot. There's a big disconnect right now that has me nervous thinking we will be good, but I guess whatever. NFL happens every year why can't NFL happen to me.
  12. Bears lock up goldman on 4 year deal with 25 million guaranteed. I think he's going to have a huge year personally.
  13. Alcohol/tobacco make most sense but I bet it will be weirder than that. I could easily see many different verticals buying up based on a specialty in retail or transportation or networks or whatever.
  14. Right and I buy a bit the high evaluations on the basis that if legalization occurs in US these companies would have legit infrastructure and process to expand/set up new hq in us or whatever to take advantage. This is applicable even with medical marijuana in us since that is where they began their efforts. edit: that said that puts them at huge risks of runs on any news of snap back against marijuana legalization in US states.
  15. Yeah I feel much better that they won't lose their money, I found the overlap funny though.
  16. Most of the people i knew obssessed with crypto last year have moved on to cannibus stocks and stopped talking about crypto (and I think this is better for them). edit: is there a term for the stocks like tilray?
  17. For the bears, one thing that worried me was how the falcons were pretty effective at negating RPOs by forcing the run each time, which led to some long 3rd downs. That said, I feel really good about jordan howard running out of shotgun. The julio jones stuff was funny. Reminded me of how bears used tarik cohen last year, where they only put him on field if they were going to use him, making it easier to figure out (at goalline, julio jones is too good to stop anywhere else)
  18. Especiall with size at at least "average" according to the chat, and the line (throwaway) of Cease sure has the arsenal more typical of a starter, but then the conclusion is he doesn't have good command and i don't see an easy fix available to make it better therefore he's unlikely to stay a starter just doesn't add up. I mean, just seems likely he finds a new variation of a pitch he can control much better and has two commandable pitches and 2 out pitches. Basically anyone with current command of 40/45 you'd have to say is not a future starter and just live with that even in face of numerous pitchers breaking that.
  19. Even then is 6'1 small for a pitcher?
  20. There has been a lot of talk on fangraphs lowballing dylan cease and being behind the curve. I thought it was worth posting a full article that described why they are down on pitchers like cease and trying to reevaluate which pitching prospects are worth ranking. TL/DR is pitchers like Cease have flamed out a lot more, and they are systematically devaluing them in rankings, even at cost of missing next big stars. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/should-we-adjust-how-we-evaluate-pitching-prospects/
  21. He doesn't need to be franchised this year, they could figure it out next year. His cap hit this year was only 8.5 million or something.
  22. His mouthing of sounding out Kasowitz was just tremendous acting.
  23. Well they wouldn't need to franchise him this year. He's under control, so this year you deal with hold out, franchise next 2 years. Risky but that's only way I see it possible on rams end. That's what's crazy, raiders had 3 more years of control albeit with drama.
