I agree, quite frankly most 23 year old staff that are in it every day could come up with better lines of questioning.

Your new Supreme Court nominee is....
The stuff that happened 30 years ago is difficult to investigate without FBI help, they had opportunity to pin him down on behavior that occurred two weeks ago and he couldn't hang his "I was ON VARSITY" hat on, and they deferred because they had one play: uncover nothing except try to get an FBI investigation. Well it failed. And now he will not be under oath to answer questions about it. Bravo.

Manchin sucks, but lets be real, west virginia isn't going to produce you something better than Joe Manchin. Better to try and get two out of colorado or something.

I don't care about changing a republican vote. A play to get "more investigation" was idiotic considering vote was scheduled next day. They needed to get him on the record with as much false info as possible that could continue to be investigated. They thought tricking him into saying they should investigate more would matter? They thought that would happen, then they could say "see he said it" because they thought it was a good ad soundbite. You know what's a better ad soundbite? He voted for a supreme court justice that accused a middle school teacher of sexual assault to try and deflect from himself.

Guys like Darron Lee and Smith (there is a falcons player too I forget), should absolutely be prototype moving forward. You can just see the issue even in the cards game, fake you into putting base group on field, then use it to get linebacker on wr matchups.

Durbin needs to be primaried. His sweet sweet love of procedure is embarrassing. How many times now has he made a strong effort on a weak procedural argument over a strong effort on a strong moral argument? He's lost every time. How does nobody ask about Ed Whelan and how he may have knowingly advised proposing his classmate as committing sexual assault to help him get on the high court? This was an egregious play, putting a partisan, liar on the supreme court who will now overturn every dem congress reform bill unless roberts starts to value democratic control over radical interpretation of the constitution. And egregious plays require punishment. Courts should be packed, constitutional amendments should be fought for over curbing political spending and right to vote. To do so, the democratic party will need to win over new voters which is how it should be. Not merely eliminating opposing voters as the Republicans have done for the last decade. And you can't do that with a mealy-mouthed dick durbin being too clever by half crying for an fbi investigation because his dem consultant said it was popular.

McVay is unbelievable with that team. basically with Gurley forces minny linebackers into field to stop run (who aren’t even especially unathletic), then does all these weird plays that appear as runs and get their receivers onto linebacker coverage. of course, Goff can also hit his wide open receivers, and we’ll covered ones.

https://slate.com/human-interest/2018/09/kavanaugh-judge-prep-school-parties.html I think there is also a cognitive issue with teens not being able to understand the severity of issues when it's between people they know. I also would gather there is something to the idea that they wouldn't all see each other in school on monday. But even so I'm kinda floored by the drinking and scenes described. You could put it side by side against hunter s thompson's stories of being in the hells angels and not much difference.

I think he's definitely a prima donna, I'm just saying it's still cool that he was able to achieve his goals despite being a homeless youth. But I also think it's understandable that since he was able to do that he may have issues with his teammates where "why shouldn't they have to work as hard as me"

Let's have some perspective here, while there are rumors on Jimmy and KATs wife they are rumors. Criticizing teammates and requesting trades may be drama, but has nothing to do with whether he's a good, solid citizen. He works hard and is kinda a jerk, doesn't mean he's aaron hernandez.

It's because he was so committed to being at church his calendar was merely a reminder of when he needed to stop.

So what is the record for go game-tying/go-aheaad/walkoff hits after 8th inning and where does Palka stand? His year has been incredible.

Sorry I don't think comparing a #2 overall pick to Ryan Fitzpatrick is that unfair. I disagree that young quarterbacks always look like this. We just watched Josh Allen of all people handle the rush well on sunday, and mayfield extend plays without panicking. Trubisky looks the most lost of all of the qbs of the last two years.

The thing is they will never be bad though. Miami has maintained competitiveness and salary space and will line things up to be players every once in a while.

I almost think he wanted to set people up to talk about his drinking thinking it would turn off casual onlookers based on his experience in Starr's probe where he went into the deepest grossest things and did the same. Bold play.

I guess the thing that I thought/heard Trubisky was fine with in college (being under pressure) is something he is not good at so far and I have doubts that it is something that improves. The best QBs in the game are ones that, among other things, are good at extending plays by subtle pocket movements, rolling out, and *keeping eyes downfield*. Then there's brady, who is just unbelievably good along with their coach of identifying defenses, and knowing what is going to be open pre snap and getting ball out. Trubisky is going first read -> panic rollout. I was just watching the game yesterday and thinking how every time i saw ben/fitz step up in the pocket was a time that Trubs would rollout and start looking at scrambling/checkdowns. And I think Nagy is just limited with what will be good for him. I do wonder, Harbaugh had big success with Smith stripping things way down for him before smith eventually became proficient with a complicated offense. WHo knows.

Just saw a replay of Mack's strip of bradford...holy crap. He starts off instead of rushing just destroying the RB as he goes out in his route, eliminating bradfords blitz hot route, when the pocket collapses he comes all the way back as bradford scrambles to knock the ball out. The guy just has that knack.

New Owner
I think the one thing that continues to make me incredibly nervous is all of the successful rebuilds recently didn't just try to draft well but tried to exploitt he boundaries of what talent was available for rebuilding teams. What is the area you can say the white sox did that in? Essentially being aggressive on turning reduced-value (to white sox) intl slot bonus into college relievers. I am happy we have Robert, but where would this rebuild be if we had truly had a spending blowout on intl free agency with 20+ signings? We've passed on rule 5. We have used waivers during this time, but to nowhere near the effect of the Milwaukee Brewers. It seems the team has cornered this area where they are aggressively seeking corner power bats and minor league/college relievers that they believe are undervalued. Now that we have a plethora, really the one spectacular thing that could happen and likely needs to happen is to have a completely organic bullpen to allow all money to go to position players and pitchers. By all accounts, sox have made changes in attempts to be modern in all scouting, but doesn't it come across as just an attempt to be above average? And it still rings a bit that our pro scouting team may still be truly horrendous, as they have yet to show in the entirety of the Hahn era that they are capable of squeezing value out of anything other than taking chances on marginal vet bullpen arms. This is long and I'm sorry, but it also just concerns me. Because while we have added volume and quality through sending out our elite or very quality cost controlled pieces, they have not been supplemented well in draft, and have not been supplemented well out of LatAm. While I am not a Moncada hater, it is hard to see how this team will be an elite contender if Moncada does not become an elite piece alongside Jimenez. Otherwise we need a prospect soon to blast through the doors, not just look like potential backend top 100 players.

Palka (again)
You are right, we don't think of it the same. Davidson gets run at 3b and 1b, Delmonico gets corners and 1b. Leury played all over and they appear to be grooming Rondon for it. Sanchez has an average arm and that likely prevented the OF play they alluded to. Anderson/Moncada are the prime OF/IF candidates and they have resisted, but there's no reason to put Engel at 3b just for versatility, having all our OFers play across OF consistently and IFers the same is good enough. Cordell is not an IF by trade.
