pretty surprised people are against this. Our DL was looking up but our OLb situation looked like it could be our new Achilles heel, like wr last year and cb year before that. our d is now very well rounded. This an offensive system that has shown it can excel even with a 12-18 level QB. they have given everything Nagy/Trubisky need to succeed. If it fails we are in the same trajectory we were in anyway. but if Nagy is a good coach then playoffs aren’t just the ceiling anymore.

And yet these are competitive people that want to win games, and getting a W is still important to them. Just because a win doesn't have much value in evaluating the talent of a pitcher does not mean it doesn't have value in the psychology of playing the game for players. It clearly does, and maybe it provides a little extra focus late in games knowing that they can get the win.

I think it's more like when you develop an incredibly valuable skill that has a finite amount of time before it diminishes and you cannot use it for a career anymore, and an organization that hires people with that skill and also prevents competition for others to hire that skill to delays your entry into the league at a cost of tens of millions to yourself strictly to prevent the organization from paying you market rate. We all can relate right?
