  2. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:33 AM) South Park has always been a lame show... But for some reason stoners like it so it will stay on the air... You are an odd person.
  3. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:18 AM) ewww (to american dad) king of the hill is probably my favorite show on TV. Eew.

  5. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:37 AM) I dont understand how you break your finger sliding.. Who is going into the base sliding with their hands mashed into the ground flat? I havent figured that out yet.. I always assumed everyone just slid with their palms somewhat up, at least thats how I slid Well you can jam a finger when you first hit the ground or even if your palm is up a bit you can still hit the top of the bag. Just ask Coco, it can happen.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:22 AM) American Dad>King of the Hill> All Green I hope?
  7. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:23 PM) Very good. Its why he'll have a good shot at replacing Widge next year. You can't replace the Widge.
  8. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:15 PM) Podsednik needs to figure himself out sooner than two weeks. Depending on the schedule, and whether Guillen implants alternatives in LF, there may be 40 AB's during such a period. I'd give him atleast half that amount before seriously assessing his health, which I believe is the key factor for his prolonged slump. It's not merely his 1-27, but an observation of his speed--it has noticeably decreased. Podsednik isn't utilizing his strengths by elevating weak fly balls. Just think about it--he has to know exactly what made him successful last year. He can't be looking over his season numbers and thinking, "Now I AM a fast ballplayer....and last year I did have a large number of bunt singles....but I'd rather just avoid speed altogether." It couldn't have escaped his mind. The 2005 Podsednik wouldn't have allowed himself to endure such a drought. There would have been several more drag bunts by now. If there exists no immediate physical concern, then it's entirely mental. He would be purposely holding himself back because of a fear his groin troubles remerge. In such a case, he needs someone to slap him aside the head. Our ballclub needs a healthy Podsednik, and if he can't fulfill that need, someone needs to think assignting him onto the DL. I think it should be a bannable offense to have Liriano in your avy.
  9. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:02 PM) you're the bum silly And you're still paying for the cincy trip.
  10. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) and tony's the resident hippy. I thought that was me?
  11. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 05:19 PM) Benton Central, were 6-0. Im 2-0 with a 0.00 era, 14 ip and im our number 2. Just out of curiousity, how hard do you throw?
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 12:26 AM) If we had Freel instead of Podsednik, there is no way we'd be champs right not. How's that for a comparison? I like it.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 11:52 PM) If DLee does for the next few years what he did last year, then yeah, this deal is a bargain. If he was hitting FA with 2 batting titles (or close to that), 2 years of 45 home runs, and as many Gold Gloves as he's earned (unlike Jeter, he's earned whatever ones he has)...He could break the bank in Boston or NY. On the other hand, his 3 years before that, he put up numbers that were good, but not great. OPS about 875 or so, never knocked in 100 runs, 27-32 home runs. You give me the choice between Konerko and that Lee, even given Lee's better defense, and I probably take Konerko. And anywho...I still think PK's primed for a dynamite season this year, so if he does what I think he can do...this whole discussion might be rendered moot. DLee can actually run as well.
  14. QUOTE(CardsJimEdmonds15 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) Pretty cool stuff.. havent got a chance to get down there yet.. What are you waiting for?
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 11:07 PM) http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/news.php This guys been right on all our latest committments and stuff like that. This would just flat out be weird. Boo. Can't read article cause I'm not signed up for cyclone crazy land or whatever it's called.
  16. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) I'd personally take Lee over Konerko. That's not to say I don't like PK, I just think the Lee is the better overall player. I think you're short-changing Lee's pre-2005 years a little bit. He's always been a pretty damn good hitter, especially his 2002 and '03 seasons (131 and 135 OPS+s in those two years). What I guess I'm saying is, I don't know how one can be a fan of the Konerko contract while disliking the Lee contract. They're very similar contracts, other than the full NTC in D-Lee's. I think Derrek Lee, though, is the better player (IMO), and I think the contract is reasonable. Not a bargain, but not grossly overpaying either. Ya, give me DLee over Paul as well. Nothing against PK.
  17. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 11:01 PM) Don't forget to keep up with this class as well. :rolly http://www.hoopscooponline.com/members/cla...raders-230.html That Kevin Gray is a player.
  18. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 09:02 PM) I wouldnt say that.... Bonderman and Verlander are both absolute filthy. Rogers has shown he can still pitch and being out of the Texas heat should only help. Maroth is a decent pitcher good guy for back of the rotation. Robertson sucks but besides that yeah. Bonderman and Verlander each have great arms, that means nothing at this point. Bonderman killed us but he was very, very average last year as a whole cause he got rocked in the 2nd half of the year. While I think Verlander is going to be a star eventually it's not going to be this year. Rogers is solid but I don't know what to expect out of him as he seemed to wear down last year and also got his ass kicked down the stretch. Maroth is also ok at best maybe a little below average. Robertson is just bad. Their rotation overall is not good at all. I dont even know what to make of their bullpen as they have good arms in there but they also have senior citizens who are currently injured. Overall their pitching is very meh and while I love their lineup as individuals I am not sold on them as a unit. This Tigers team will soon be where they always are...4th place.
  19. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 04:04 PM) These players, keep in mind, are basically the exact same age (born 10 days apart in the same year). Also, both are listed as left fielders: Player A: .279/.374/.380 SLG 89 SB, 25 CS (78%) 303 G 1044 AB Player B: .276/.342/.381 SLG 172 SB 46 CS (79%) 461 G 1753 AB Player A is Ryan Freel and Player B is Scott Podsednik. The only noticeable differences are Pods has had more PT and is a lefty and Freel walks a lot more, is a much better defender, and plays a lot more positions As much as I love Pods....he's a lot like Freel, a really fast utility player. Pods will improve and get his hits as long as he stays healthy, but I think we need to put in perspective just how good Pods actually is. How about we put into perspective how important scott is to this team by posting the teams record without him last season? Stats aren't everything but Pods certainly meant a s***load to this team last year and will again this year when he gets on track.
  20. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:15 PM) BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO² BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO³
  21. Good deal for the Cubs. DLee is a star and he could have definitely got more in the open market.
