QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) The SOx just cleared another spot on the 40 man roster. If this doesn't make you think a move is on its way, I don't know what will. Very good call, I didn't even think about that.

QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) Detroit will finish second in the division and will push hard for wild card.... I'd bet my house they don't finish in 2nd.

QUOTE(Y2HH @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 07:02 PM) El Duque is better than I've ever seen him in Sox uniform...he's even hitting 90-91 with his fastball from time to time...I've never seen him over 88 this year... His fastball is definitely more crisp then it's been earlier in the season and he's throwing more strikes as well, hopefully he can keep it up.

This team turns the double play better then any other team in baseball, no doubt in my mind.

Scott's on 2nd so much with no outs, Tad's batting average is going to be down to like .250 soon. Tad's awesome, gets him over, absolutely awesome.

QUOTE(Spiff @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Inge knocks the first pitch out, 1-0 Tigers. Trammel's face when he saw the ball go over the fence was of total shock, to me it looked like Inge caught it off the end of the bat and it just kept carrying.

QUOTE(Wolverine31 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 05:47 PM) Gee, it must take a real genius to look up the standings and come up with that witty retort. By the way, when was the last time the Sox won the World Series? Yeah, I'd shut up if I were you. The White Sox haven't won jack. :sleep You'd think by now other teams fans wouldn't come on here talking trash, I guess not.

QUOTE(Wolverine31 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 05:44 PM) You will just show how trashy and classless of fans you are (and most real baseball fans I've talked to already think very little of Sox fans) if you boo Magglio. Maggs is the classless one, after his comments after leaving he deserves to be booed. If he left for more money without the bulls*** he pulled he wouldn't be booed but he's an ass, so be it.

Burnett to
Baltimore can have him, the price is just to high and taking on Lowell would not be a smart move. However this move does give Balti a shot in that division, Bedard's coming back tonight, then Burnett, Lopez, Cabrera, and Chen, that ain't horrible. I wonder what happens with Ponson if they let him continue to start because of his contract.

Shingo Takatsu
I wish shingo nothing but the best. He was awesome last season and damn fun to watch. I still believe he can be effective because I don't think he's been figured out by anyone, as long as he's throwing strikes and getting ahead of hitters he'll be effective some where. Good luck Shingo.

Since May 6th, the White Sox are 38-22
QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) Yes. With a username referencing the great Greg Hibbard, it's obvious that I'm not a White Sox fan. Come on people, read through my posts. I hate the Yankees. I would love for nothing more than to see them fail. They have compiled, with the White Sox, the best record in the AL over the last 70 days. That's surprising. Yet the sox are 12 games better then them. For some odd reason there crappy rotation and 2 deep bullpen just doesn't scare me but that's just me.
