  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) f*** YOU umpire. That pitch was right down the f***ing plate. Ozzie needs to get ejected, and soon. That itch That was f***in ridiculous though, Jon's gonna have to punch 'em out swinging it looks like
  2. AJ has absolutely mashed the ball his last 3 ab's.
  3. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) God I hate those drums. This place is almost as annoying as Oakland. Atleast we can win a damn game at this place.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) If we can just get Dye back to the monster he was for about the last month and a half, we'll really take off. Plus the fact Juan is starting to hit the ball had and hasn't had anything to show for it yet and Aj is going to start hitting too, good stuff. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this O can do when everyone is doing what they can do. A lot of guys haven't hit up to what they normally do and the offense overall has been pretty good scoring runs so just imagine what they'll do when they get around their career averages.
  5. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) 14 of 20 for Paul. Right when I started criticizing him. That a boy Paul make me eat crow, I love it.
  6. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 09:27 AM) AGreed. I thought the show was only funny to Milanokis. I don't think I laughed once at anything I saw. IMO there were a lot of funny parts in it and a lot of real dumb parts overall. I told my friends I was never so torn on a show but after I found out he was 29 I can't even watch it anymore.
  7. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) BAT FLIP
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) Well the difference is Pods is a crap fielder, just has good speed. Scott's definitely a bad centerfielder but the point remains you don't move a top 5 defensive centerfielder out of his position for a aaa callup.
  9. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) It was funny when Hawk said Pods would be CF at Soxfest. I went straight up to the mic, with Pods on stage and told Hawk that Aaron would be the CF on this team. (With no offense to Pods of course.) Hawk just kinda sat there and said we'll see. I remember that, Scott basically said the same thing we all were at the time, that Aaron had earned it and he's a great centerfielder and that he(Scott) had no problem moving over to left.
  10. Juan is starting to hit the past few games, unfortunately he's hitting some shots right at people.
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 12:07 PM) The tarps are off? I'm still getting a rain delay screen on my xtra innings. Yup, all the sudden Crede was in the batters box and Elarton throws a pitch.
  12. It still looks like it's coming down hard there but the rain always looks worse on tv.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) Ive seen the 2 play and I think your are overating Rowand a bit and underating Anderson.... I love Rowand... and no way in hell would I want to lose him like some posters think... but defensively Id rather have Anderson in CF and Rowand in RF than the other way around. I have not seen Anderson play center field at all but Rowand has become to good of a centerfielder to kick him out of that position. If Anderson were ever going to be the centerfielder over Aaron, Aaron would have to lose that job or Brian would have to earn it, not have it just given to him.
  14. QUOTE(hi8is @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) any idea of how long of a dealy, are they saying anything? I think it's just one of those storms where the rain comes down hard for a little while but passes pretty quickly.
  15. Ugh, this rain delay programming :puke I wish they'd show the 04 highlight reel, that was pretty cool.
  16. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 11:20 AM) WTF should be 2 outs already And now there is
  17. QUOTE(SHAFTR @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 11:08 AM) Dunn has a .390 OBP this year and a. 566 slugging (6th in the NL). Overall his OPS is .956, which is 5th in the NL. So, I wouldn't complain that much about his batting average. Here is also an interesting article http://www.baseballmusings.com/archives/009464.php I'm not advocating trading Rowand, but I have to defend Dunn. His ops is great, he can get on base and when he hits, he hits the ball hard, problem is he doesn't hit to much. I know some people think batting average is overrated but you have to be able to hit your way on base at times and Dunn's average with runners in scoring position is just brutal. Dunn's good but I personally don't think he's great.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) I'm just saying that if Iguchi hits the wall in the 2nd half, Rowand should be the choice to move up in the order. Remember, Iguchi isn't used to the 162 game season. Ozzie's rested him a lot this season though. Tadahito has been one of if not the best two hitter in baseball this year, he's been fantastic.
