GAME THREAD 7-16-2005 SOX vs INJUNS
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) The thing is, I have no problem pitching Shingo when he was in there. I just didn't understand bringing in Viz instead of Politte or Hermanson. Have we found out if it's Elarton or Lee tomorrow? I've heard elarton all week but I'm not certain.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 01:28 PM) Cotts is warming up. It will be interesting if we don't see even a sign of Shingo. It would pretty much confirm all the trade rumors. Holy crap, right as you posted that I did as well in the sub forum, same thing basically.

Shingo Takatsu Heading West???
It could be interesting if Shingo pitches tonight. With a 5 run lead and the fact that Neal and Viz pitched yesterday you'd think this would be a game shingo would pitch. If he doesn't, something definitely coud be up.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) Here's my idea...let me see if you guys like it. One big trade rumor thread for all non white sox rumors. Then for every Sox rumor...I'll make a post with that players name and all news related to that deal could go in that thread? This sound like a cool idea? Very good idea. Gets my approval

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) Mentioned every start he makes on espn/baseball tonight. Isn't that what this board goes by? I don't care what they think, I was talking about us as a fanbase I think a lot of people take it for granted.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) Good job by Buehrle there. Congrats to him on another 6 inning start. That streak is honestly amazing, very underlooked.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) Qwerty, I won't say it, but I know you're thinking the same thing that I'm thinking on that play... There's not a left fielder in baseball who gets to that ball except maybe Carl Crawford, Scott didn't get a great jump on that but with his speed he almost caught right back up to it.

Ay boy, that was worded poorly i mean even if belliard fields that cleanly despite aj's speed they still dont turn it.

If carl doesn't get them over or in, I'm pretty sure you'll see a double steal with pauly up there but screw that, make it moot Carl.

QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) Even though Crede isn't at 100% anymore I think he can get hot as usual in the 2nd half. Could be but I think what we've seen with Joe is what we're going to get around .240-250ish with 20-25 homers and suburb defense, which is absolutely fine with me.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) Yeah, I've noticed that. I thought he had a double off the bat before, but Sizemore was shaded that way. When Uribe gets on fire at the plate, this is going to be a special offense. There a few guys in our lineup still that can hit much better: Juan, Pauly, and AJ. Juan atleast is starting to make solid contact, Pauly has looked much much better as of late and I still think AJ will get better, he's just to good of a hitter not to. OT: Why the hell does everyone think we were the first team to 10 wins, I've heard that on national broadcasts a million times.

Juan's starting to hit more balls hard just getting unlucky a bit the last few games, I guess that's what happens when you're struggling overall.
