  1. When he's healthy he's definitely a quaility number 3, once again we just have to keep him healthy.
  2. Good point Molto. With the deep pen and already having 4 guys that could probably go 200 plus innings we can be very careful with him. Also you keep him healthy down the stretch and we all know what kind of big game pitcher he is, and that would be huge. I really do like this move, he's still a better pitcher then some that have got bigger contracts then him this offseason, he could be an absolute steal. I'd think now Cora is definitely a possibility.
  3. El duque proved last year if he's healthy he's still one heck of a pitcher. Obviously the most important thing is to keep him healthy. I think it's a very good move though to atleast have 5 starters and we still have some money to work with to upgrade other positions.
  4. I'd actually be thrilled with our offseason if we can sign Wade and Alex or Eck.
  5. By the way that comment of mine should have been in green
  6. Hey, if you're not going to have an elite team, why not have an elite park??
  7. I think the green seats look really cool but I agree with you it's going to look very weird with both colors for a while.
  8. Cause OC has never had good players around him, right?? :rolly
  9. When did he ever bring up fielding percentage?? I think he's proved time and time again in this thread that Juan is a better defender then your butt buddy in anaheim. Juan is a better player, is younger, and makes less money, it's ridiculous to want Cabrera at 8 mill over Juan at under 3.
  10. LOL, when the heck did kenny williams come up in this conversation?? You have such a hatred for him, that you think anything he does is wrong, it's quite ridiculous.
  11. If you think fielding percentage is the only defensive stat that counts, then you're an idiot.
  12. Do you watch baseball?? The point of what Cwsguy said was that gold gloves are complete bs. Juan is 25 and is already a better defender then Cabrera and is a better hitter too. OC is never going to be a number 2 hitter, I'm pretty sure he won't hit 2nd on the angels this year, Cabrera is an overrated and now WAY overpaid player.
  13. Gold Gloves are more a product of hype then anything else. You realize Derek Jeter won the gold glove in the al this year, right???
  14. If the sox get Eck he definitely becomes the 2nd baseman, Juan is a much better shortstop then Eck is, plus David is more suited to be a 2 bagger.
  15. Um No. Also Uribe> Cabrera and that's before you even take the money situation into the equation.
  16. Blah.......Butter, whether you like the guy or not he'd get absolutely destroyed here.
  17. Ugh. :puke :puke
  18. I agree. Everyone seems to have things hampering them from signing a starter except the White Sox. Kenny has to act fast and get one of these guys. Act fast so other teams might not be interested yet. Either way I'm sure Kenny is going to have a lot of interest in Wade Miller, I think that is the next guy he's going to make a run at, I think it'll be Wade or bust as far as the free agent starting pitchers go.
  19. I agree, however I'd love to have either, I think both would be a perfect fit to bat behind Spod. I have no problem having Willie in the lineup, however if either Cora or Eck could come cheap I'd love to have them because both can bat 2nd and move aaron down to 3rd or 6th, jmo.
  20. True Dbaho. I think we can actually outbid the Nationals if necessary and that they're going to have a hard time signing anyone right now. Also L.A. might be in a hold up to do anything until the RJ trade goes through and that will take atleast another week. So hopefully Kenny can get something done quick cause as of right now there are 2 damn good starters out there and there only might be one team we have to bid against, just something to think about.
  21. Washburn was tendered a contract, so I'm thinking that's a very good sign they won't go after Odalis or any other starting pitcher on the market.
  22. If we can't get either Wade or Odalis in here, I agree with YAS he would be our best guy to fill that 5th hole.

I'm thinking there is a good chance we see: Spod Juan Arow Frank Pauly Dye AJ Crede Willie

I'd say he's definitely the backup plan, however this is definitely a clear sign Aj is on the radar because they could have come up to a deal with Ben before the Non-tender date. So I agree with you cheat that he's the backup plan but in my mind it's clear KW wants aj.
