  1. Orlando will probably be slotted as the 5th guy so he can be skipped if need be but if we can keep him healthy he's definitely our number 3 guy, if that makes any sense.
  2. I'd like to see: Spod lf eck 2b rowand cf hurt dh pauly 1b dye rf uribe ss crede 3b davis c
  3. I'd rather have Eck but I'd love either.
  4. I don't think he's saying Garland is quite the pitcher that these guys have been, however he's saying if you compare stats through a certain point of their careers that they're very comparable.
  5. Ah...my bad, for some reason I thought he was after this season.
  6. Ha....I hope not, that's not what I meant. I'm just saying I think we'll have money to work with. I don't think it's to much when the Lieber's, Wright's, Clement's are getting 7 plus and in the case of Matt 8 plus, when el duque is arguably better then these guys and some of them have injury risks also. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one
  7. Well we have the money to play with this year, so I agree with you there that for this year it's fine. Next year Pauly comes off the books and so does jon. I don't think 4 mill a year is that bad and we'll have some money to work with next year. It's also a possibility that the sox won't have to make any starting pitcher acquisitions going into next year with Bmac on the way. I can see how you're a little worried about the money but I think we'll have some money to play with next year and I think we'll be fine, jmo.
  8. Pending Physical, El Duque is signing with the sox for believed to be 2 years 8 mill plus incentives.
  9. As will I........I really think Alex will sign with the sox.
  10. Up on rotoworld too, looks like this thing is actually going to get done
  11. Exactly, when El Duque is healthy he is atleast a number 3 and last year while he pitched with the yanks he was their ace, that's how good he can be when healthy.
  12. I try not to think about 2003, that team should have won the world series.
  13. El Duque at 4 mill could honestly be the steal of all the free agents.
  14. In the division it's easily the best, imo. Nobody else has 5 quality starters.
  15. When he's healthy he's definitely a quaility number 3, once again we just have to keep him healthy.
  16. Good point Molto. With the deep pen and already having 4 guys that could probably go 200 plus innings we can be very careful with him. Also you keep him healthy down the stretch and we all know what kind of big game pitcher he is, and that would be huge. I really do like this move, he's still a better pitcher then some that have got bigger contracts then him this offseason, he could be an absolute steal. I'd think now Cora is definitely a possibility.
  17. El duque proved last year if he's healthy he's still one heck of a pitcher. Obviously the most important thing is to keep him healthy. I think it's a very good move though to atleast have 5 starters and we still have some money to work with to upgrade other positions.
  18. I'd actually be thrilled with our offseason if we can sign Wade and Alex or Eck.
  19. By the way that comment of mine should have been in green
  20. Hey, if you're not going to have an elite team, why not have an elite park??
