I read an article somewhere that they're happy with what they got and might stick with it. I'll go look for the article and post it if I find it.

It doesn't look like Anaheim or Toronto is going to go after Odalis so that would definitely be a plus. I'm not sure what other teams really have the resources we do right now to get Odalis that need a starting pitcher.

Bruce makes a lot of sense with all of this, if this deal were to materialize it would take weeks to be finalized and if something were to fall apart the White Sox would be screwed. By that time Odalis would be gone and are options would be even slimmer then they are now.

Oh, I completely agree I don't want to see Jon go anywhere and I don't really want Damaso going anywhere either. If we're giving up Pauly and Damaso we better be getting more in return then Javy.

Wow, Rob would be an excellent pickup, imo. He can play a bunch of different positions and is a solid left handed bat.

Like Aboz said, go get Aj and then either get Polanco or Cora, also if something like this were to happen I wouldn't rule out Nakamura from Japan, anyways I think more realistic would be to get Cora in the deal with Javy and then sign aj, the offense loses some power no doubt but it would be an offense that could manufacture some runs and wouldn't be that bad, imo: pods cora rowand frank dye gload aj uribe crede That's definitely not a power lineup but it's pretty deep. 4??? There is one real quality starter out there, imo. I'm still going to hold out faith that kenny fills this void but I'm not going to lie and say I'm optimistic about it, my hopes are dwindling everyday.

If we don't sign anyone, I'll guarantee you guys Cotts comes out of spring training as the 5th starter, he's head and shoulders better then Jason and Felix and anything else we can throw at him.

The thing that scares me about el duque is he spends more time on the dl then he does pitching, if the guy could ever stay healthy he's still a damn good pitcher.
