  1. Buehrle is better then Matt Clement, I don't even think there is an argument there. I too really like Clement but he's not Buehrle, I 3.89 era pitching at the cell in the al, is better then a 3.68 era pitching at the urinal in the nl.
  2. No. I wish Kelly the best of luck cause he was a great guy while he was here, however I believe his major league career is shot but I hope I'm wrong.
  3. Jester, why do you think Uribe is better suited for the 2 hole over arow??
  4. Unless they sign another solid starter which it looks like they won't, I'll guarantee you they finish with a worse record then last year .
  5. Who's playing 3rd base? When frank is healthy I'm fairly confident the lineup will be: Spod arow frank pauly dye uribe crede davis harris
  6. There is no way in the hell that either the Indians or Tigers are better then the sox this year.
  7. As of right now it has to be arow. Aaron gets on base far more then Uribe and is a far better fit for that 2 hole, jmo.
  8. The owners have to sign off on any acquisition made, I believe.
  9. Once again could you guys post what is said, can't get the damn thing to work for me.
  10. Ya, I meant cotts, my bad.
  11. Ginter definitely isn't the player in the deal, I'm 100 percent sure. Now I think a lot depends on if the sox sign clement or odalis if they sign either of them I believe you'll see them go with 11 pitchers and have that last bullpen spot go to Cotts for the simple fact that he's a lefty, jmo.
  12. B.S. The lineup isn't as bad as people make it out to be and even without a 5th starter as of right now we still have the best pitching in the division, imo.
  13. and don't forget the bullpen that has been made into one of the best in the league, imo.
  14. There are a lot of people now saying that, that lineup sucks, I actually don't think it looks to bad and I really like the way the one-two spots in the order could produce.
  15. I've read or heard(can't remember which) that the budget set right now is 72 million.
  16. I think payroll was closer to 69 million before the trade but I could be wrong.
  17. I get the impression that he isn't, Kenny almost forgot to mention it when talking about the deal. Also when asked about Clement he tried avoiding the question and said "We've heard of him," doing his giggling thing that he seems to be doing a lot, he eventually said that he can't deny they're looking at him cause half the guys in the room saw him talking with Matt's agent.
  18. I'm listening the Kenny's conference call after the deal and he did say the ptbnl is a minor leaguer.
  19. It was definitely the first thing that came to my mind, however I don't think it was the sox cause the deal was supposidely a 4 year deal.
  20. No, this offense has been to damn inconsistant for to long, we need to get away from the long ball(I'm not saying this was the reason to get rid of carlos) I'm tired of living and dying by the homerun, I'm happy kenny is getting away from that.
  21. :puke Milton blows, his era would be near 6 pitching for the sox.
  22. Can you report what he says, I can't get espnradio online to work for me.
  23. But freeing up money is part of the deal. I don't think it's a salary dump cause Kenny got a player he wanted and I'm sure this is a guy Ozzie really wanted. We also now have one of the best bullpens in baseball, the pen is going to be so deep and I know you believe(as do I) that's one of the most important thing for a contending baseball team with not a ton of resources to do. Trust me, I understand where you're coming from but I think you have to look at what kenny does also, after all is said and done he might have had something else that was done if this trade went through to free up money, we just don't know and that's why I think we have to wait for the rest of the offseason to play itself out, jmo.
