  1. And here comes another lefty to face Jose.
  2. Correct.
  3. Jas, what do you think the odds of one of the real good starting pitchers falling down to the sox? I love drafting pitching and I think the sox really need some good starting pitchers down on the farm. Also besides the top 3 or 4 college pitchers what others are you high on that you think really have great upside including high school pitchers. Also an unrelated question where do you think Huston Street will go, I think he'll be a pretty interesting pick just because a team might draft him to put him in the pen later this year.
  4. I'm not positive but I'd probably say no just because Kenny Rogers is pitching and he's a lefty.
  5. Definitely, I'm just saying I hope they continue to use willie in cf and use arow against lefties.
  6. That's exactly what the sox should be doing. No platoon between timo and arow because that means willie would have to play 2nd base which mean to much bench time for Babe Uribe.
  7. Hey heads just to let you know Koch has 7 saves not 6.
  8. It amazes me that he likes Wilson better then Garica.
  9. Uribe is going to be playing no matter what. I'm guessing a willie/arow platoon is what is going to happen in centerfield for now.
  10. I doubt willie starts tonight agains kenny rogers who's a lefty, I'm guessing arow gets another start tonight.
  11. The mets have been in Freddy Garcia rumors also. Are the Mets a great team... no they aren't but they might be able to hang around for a while. Plus the fact they just signed Cameron this offseason you think they'd already be willing to trade him? I love the idea of JD Drew, if Drew ever stays healthy he'll be one hell of a player, add left handed pop to the sox and yes he can play centerfield.
  12. Interesting read. I know Pineiro's name has been mentioned a number of times around here and I wonder if seattle really would trade him. If a salary dump isn't what they really care about a Lee for Garcia deal might actually be possible. Even with Winn having a down year so far I wouldn't mind the sox picking him up I think he's still only 28 or 29. It's nice to see that money isn't a huge concern with the Mariners and that definitely hurts the yankees in terms for trading for Freddy because they have nothing in their farm.
  13. I don't think the mets are ready to sell anything off yet. They're .500 and they might be buyers and not sellers.
  14. This Sunday.
  15. When was I ripping on Gammons? I never once said anything bad about him, I was just stating facts but I never once ripped on the guy.
  16. Hey I'm just telling you what he said. Because when he said the sox were going to be this years marlins he said because he thought they would sign colon. Then when he was making his predictions he said they'd finish 3rd in the central. I'm just telling you what he said, don't shoot the messanger. But like I already said I don't care what he thinks.
  17. He said that, cause he believe they were going to resign Bartolo and he did predict the sox to finish 3rd. That being said I could absolutely care less what Gammons or all the other bbtn members think about the sox or anyone in the media for that matter.
  18. Gracias! I was pretty sure, just wanted to be positive.
  19. Well he said "I thought the Dodgers had an awful system and that was why they couldn't get any pitching last season?" Since he said to get pitching I assumed he meant the Jays. The dodgers do have some absolute studs though in Jackson and Miller. Hanrahan is also a descent prospect. Franklin Gutierrez was in the Milton Bradley deal, correct?
  20. Do you mean the jays?
  21. Danny Wright and Kris Honel for Roy Halladay? Wouldn't that be amazing.
  22. If he comes into a game with a two run lead and lets up one does it matter?? Not to me it doesn't, I think era is pretty overrated for a closer, he has to close games out period. If he lets up a run or two when he has a two run or three run lead it doesn't matter as long as the sox win the game. You guys can rip billy all you want but he's doing his job.
