  1. Archie Bradley has now been a top 100 prospect for 83 years.
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:51 PM) Part of me hopes Leury Garcia isn't called up to replace Bonifacio/in September so he can finish the season with the incredible 1.000 batting average. I've seen better.
  3. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:06 PM) "Son you have been soooo bad I can honestly say there is no way in hell we are going to be able to trade you". Ha basically QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:06 PM) ...what? Just being stupid.
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 09:56 PM) I never get the complaints about the hall of fame voting process. At the end of the day, it's BY FAR the most prestigious and selective hall of fame. The voting has kept it that way. Complain all you want but it's worked. Selective it is but that's not necessarily a good thing when it comes to the baseball hall.
  5. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:41 AM) I do get the feeling that the Sox are going to pull off some crazy trade along these lines that will have us saying... Wow didnt see that one coming! Someone we probably havent even mentioned yet. Mike Trout?!?
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:40 AM) I see this as "totally how I expect the white sox to be thinking". Definitely.
  7. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:03 AM) Odd that the Dodgers would trade for another outfielder when they have so many already. Latos makes sense but Morse? Pinch Hitter extraordinaire I'm guessing.
  8. Re-trading Tulo might not be as crazy as the Sox and Jays doing business with each other at this point.
  9. Define special? Q is a top 15-20 starting pitcher with a ridiculously valuable contract. By any metric Q has been much better than Puig this year and basically even with him last year. I like Puig too but if he's special so is Q.
  10. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 09:15 PM) Yes we're beating bad teams but also kicking the s*** out of them. Who gives a s*** if it's bad teams. We couldn't hit against anyone, and we beat some good pitchers in Cleveland so who gives a damn.
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 08:59 PM) 2 game sweep lets get to .500 before we start praising playoff chances. So their two game sweep counts but ours doesn't, got it.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 08:56 PM) WTF, they're ruining his trade value He must have just got traded!!!
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 08:54 PM) Same deal if they lose 7 of 10 in August this team is beating bad teams. KC and Stl whipped the Sox last week. They didn't whip the Sox. The Sox were 2 feet away from splitting with KC and they split the season series with STL so stop that crap.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 08:50 PM) The ironic thing is if they trade Samardzija tomorrow afternoon, a lot of us will be disappointed now Yup.
  15. Ya, I definitely applaud them for going all in on this year.
  16. Aryn got pretty big a few years back too.
  17. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 01:45 PM) Jerry Crasnick ‏@jcrasnick 2m2 minutes ago #Royals are getting Aaron Brooks and Sean Manea, source says. https://twitter.com/jcrasnick Yay the Bulls finally got rid of Brooks! No?
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 01:42 PM) Getz retired. As the GOAT.
  19. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 01:22 PM) just out of curiosity, where does Avi play if we get Cargo? He would most likely be a part of any deal I'd assume.
  20. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 01:16 PM) Those interesting pitching prospects are the type we gave for, oh, say the rent of the mediocre Brett Myers in 2012. Talk about complaining just to complain.
  21. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 12:56 PM) Does that not sound like Tulowitzki? Who they just received a first round draft pick for, among others, along with $50 million in salary relief? You think they are going to turn around and dump Cargo to us for nothing now? Tulo's numbers away from Coors are far better than CarGo's. I get that most players tend to do better at home than the road but CarGo's splits are in another galaxy away from Coors. The guy to me is a good, not great hitter who gets injured a ton and is not worth getting anywhere near that contract and trading away talent to land him.
  22. I'll give them a No Thanks for CarGo.
