  1. Bassitt, Montas and Wilkins would all definitely get selected imo.
  2. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 21, 2014 -> 01:05 PM) With Sproles in Philly now do you guys think Adrian Peterson or Matt Forte might be a better pick at 1 overall than Shady? Norv Turner is the OC in Minny now and he likes throwing the ball to the back so that might make AP even more valuable. (It's a keeper league, and Charles has been kept) How does your keeper league work? Seems odd that Charles could be kept but the other 3 couldn't.
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 21, 2014 -> 12:19 PM) Is that on Friday or Saturday? Friday.
  4. If we can find something for him that will be magical every year and give him a few weeks of confidence then I'm all for keeping him.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 21, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) Oh s***, never heard of it. It's a "country" version of Jersey Shore. You want trash tv, this is it and I love it.
  6. My first and main draft is on Sunday. Have Marshawn as a 4th round keeper and Jordy Nelson as a 5th round keeper to start it off.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 21, 2014 -> 09:45 AM) Of course, if its trash on TV I watch it. I'm going to be disappointed in you if you don't watch Party Down South.

So did I miss anything fun on BB last night?
  9. Right thing to do but jeez, the injuries this organization has had to key players this year is just absurd.
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 03:44 PM) The teen pregnancy rate in the united states has dropped DRAMATICALLY from when many of us were born. Teen Mom FTW.
  11. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 03:39 PM) Anyone that says Dunn was "a marginal upgrade" is using some excellent revisionist history. Prior to Chicago he was one of the most consistent hitters in the game that almost without fail put up around 3 WAR, 30-40 HRs, and a OPS+ of around 130. At the time he was signed Chicago had little power in the lineup and DH was a big problem. Remember Mark Kotsay? That things didn't work out with Dunn remains one of the biggest puzzles in Sox history IMO. Maybe it was the apendix thing. Ya, he should have been like the biggest upgrade of all time.
  12. Valentin's numbers on the Sox are kind of crazy to look back at now.
  13. Hopefully the Shield special they're doing tonight is available to watch right away because I'm working late tonight and wont be able to see it when they air it.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 01:13 PM) The point is who is the left handed power in the white sox line up next year. Carl. Everett.
  15. Thibs was doing fine with Rose last year so hopefully he keeps it that way. But Noah and Deng when he was here were always playing way too much when they were both always hurt, can't have that. You can't compare their minutes to LeBron and Durant because those two really haven't had too many injuries they've been battling through. EDIT: And that's playing too much in the regular season. Play them as long as you want in the playoffs but the regular season is so damn pointless in the NBA, just be careful with some of these guys.
  16. I think Rick is going to spend a bit of money in the offseason to make the Sox a legit 2015 contender. There's definitely some holes on the roster right now but there's a lot of talent here too.
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 19, 2014 -> 10:26 PM) The laughing keeps me from crying. But actually, it's to be expected. He had knee surgery. Is that to be expected this far after surgery? Serious question, I have no idea.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 19, 2014 -> 08:19 PM) 3 more outs 0 more outs.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 19, 2014 -> 06:35 PM) NOW we know how important they are. Exactly. It's like getting the president to watch.
  20. I gotta admit that this Chicago team has drawn me in. I'll be watching tonight.
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 19, 2014 -> 02:55 PM) Forget him as a prospect, that K-rate will not work at the MLB level. Good point. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 19, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) As a fan of pitching, it really is sad what happened to Prior. He was so fun to watch. Of all the pitchers I've seen, Prior in his prime, was one of the best. Nobody tops Pedro for me though. At a time when I absolutely despised the Cubs I was still a fan of Prior's.
  22. I predict a 27 pitch perfect game from Rodon tonight.
