  1. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 28, 2014 -> 11:39 AM) PG-Magic SG-Jordan SF-Lebron PF-Duncan C-Wilt Somebody is bad at following rules.
  2. Duncan at 3 dollars is the easiest pick on that list since he's the best player but somehow in the middle of the pact there.
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 28, 2014 -> 11:05 AM) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Boq7o1WIUAEpqvP.jpg:large PG- Frazier SG- Jordan SF- Lebron PF - Duncan C- Hakeem That's the exact same team I picked originally.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ May 27, 2014 -> 08:55 PM) I have to laugh at you guys discussing realism in a movie about a giant lizard vs two giant bugs. Haha indeed.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 27, 2014 -> 05:01 PM) With the obvious caveat of Balta saying he's obviously working on other pitches, Beck has been a disappointment this year for me. If I think of others, I'll post them later too. Also, if you see others from me, please feel free to post them in here. I have no problem being called out! (and I will fight back ) Well you and I were two of the biggest supporters of Marcus being the starter at 2b all season. Granted I do think he'd be fine as the season went on if he were getting regular ab's but so far Gordon has been better.
  6. Ya definitely EJ. I thought he would have no problems being a middle of the rotation starter this year.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 27, 2014 -> 12:04 PM) Bringing my family on Sunday for southpaws birthday. Are you buying him a gift?
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:01 AM) Just glad he didn't blow out one of his knees with that jump down from the stage. Time to ban dancing like we banned tarp sliding. No fun White Sox!

    QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 27, 2014 -> 09:57 AM) We were out camping so there was less damage for me to do to others. My friends were down Saturday morning, but I had to cater a graduation party Sunday morning so couldn't make it till then. Some good old beer darts and cornhole and jumping in a freezing cold river. I love Memorial Day. Once saw a metal dart stick directly into someone's leg during beer darts. I laughed, he didn't seem as amused.

    QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 27, 2014 -> 09:37 AM) It was Miller Lite and fireball and Chuck Norris's and Jag bombs and I danced to "I wouild do anything for love (But I won't do that)" Solid. It was coors, fireball and rumchata for me on Sunday. And getting kicked out of a pool area at night because old people are no fun.
  11. Everyone just in a b****y mood lately, eh?
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ May 27, 2014 -> 06:55 AM) Contract signings are so over played. Same with match finish where one guy is distracted and gets rolled up for the 3 count. Nobody ever pops for those. Alicia Fox is actually entertaining. I'm taking it they want her to be like Bynes and Spears when they lost it. I'm hoping Rose gets over. The whole Swagger angle is just poorly done is all. Fox has been pretty damn great the last month or so. Perfect feud for Paige until Mrs. Punk comes back.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ May 26, 2014 -> 09:41 PM) How big of a pop would DB get in Chicago if he told Steph to fire his wife. They've totally screwed up Adam Rose or maybe it's just a gimic that works in a smaller, more intimate arena. Huge. I'm the only person on the internet who likes the Rose character. It's so damn cheesy that it entertains me, I'm a bad smark. And I'm still absolutely loving the Bo Dallas character.
  14. That might have been the worst hr in the history of Raw. At least Cody is still awesome.
  15. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ May 26, 2014 -> 05:30 PM) This is the reason to hate Gordon Beckham: 2,604 PA of .251/.314/.382 (87 wRC+), good for about 1.3 fWAR per 150 games to give him credit for his defense. That is a below average player and that includes this season. Traditional statistics and sabermetrics agree -- bad batting average, bad on-base percentage, bad slugging percentage, and bad wRC+. I'm glad he's playing better this year. I hope he continues, because I like when White Sox players play well. I hope it's some kind of late-start career revival and that he can really sustain a 104 wRC+ making him a slightly above average hitter. That would be great. But let's stop pretending it's a mystery that people are tired of watching him play badly. He had a good rookie season and then four consecutive seasons of crap. I'm not sure what math makes that guy into a player that everyone should love playing for their favorite team. Yup. All of this.
  16. No details yet but I guess our luck of having everyone good on the DL is trickling down to the minors now.
  17. QUOTE (SCCWS @ May 25, 2014 -> 10:03 AM) Addison Reed had 40 saves on a lousy White Sox team last year. He has consistently been in the top 10 in saves for close to 3 years. You are saying Davidson "could" turn out to be a good player and I agree. But we traded a ML player who presently is in the Top 10 in his category and is only 25 years old, which is young for a closer, for a young prospect who has averaged 20 hrs, hit .260 but strikes out a lot in the minors. Plus Reed makes $550,00 which is not much more than Webb makes and is 1/6 what Scott Downs makes. Reed is still on a lousy team and he has more saves (13) than our entire pitching staff (9). It doesn't matter that he was/is on a lousy team, his save percentage was extremely average(actually a bit below average) last year. Saves aren't the best way to judge a closer but even if you're looking at that, he still wasn't that great.

  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 24, 2014 -> 10:04 PM) Allen, Ray
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 23, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) Alright, enough of 2k5 and his lameness. I have a question for those who follow college hoops extensively. Can Doug McDermott play? And I would also like to know about Noah from Indiana. Thank you for your time. That's one guy I've probably watched play more than anybody on this board and my answer to you is I don't know. I'd lean towards no though because I don't think he has the type of release that'll allow him to be a catch and shoot, shooter if need be. He is extremely smart though so he might be able to succeed just based on that but I personally wouldn't draft him even though I'm a huge fan of his and really hope he does well.
  21. Addison Reed is nothing special, not even close to anything special to be honest. Davidson could definitely turn out to be a bust but I'd do that trade each and every time. And I agree that Webb should be closing. He might not be our best reliever at the moment but I'm tired of taking guys out of roles they're successful in to make them the closer. Webb has been a closer for a bit now in the minors, let him do that and keep Belly in the middle relief role that he was pitching so well in.
  22. Lets win because being over .500 is better than being under .500.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) They might as well try to make him a reliever This seems like an obvious move. If he can throw that hard maybe we can make him into a decent reliever.
