QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 11:24 AM) "Bandwagon fans? He has a Joe Borchard jersey...you don't even know who that is!" "Good point" Was hoping you'd get what I was referring to. Ah the good ol days.

2012-2013 NBA thread
QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 12:59 PM) I sure would love to see Noah and Howard/Bynum clogging the lane so our superstar D Rose can drive into all that traffic. I'd rather have a Kevin Love next to Noah to stretch the floor. I'll sit back while your heads explode. You get rid of noah if you have Dwight, not too difficult.

8/8 Games
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 12:14 PM) Three straight games without a K, around 20% rate in his last 10 games, 27% in July/August. Was 29% last year on the season. His AVG is up about 10 points this year, OBP about the same, SLG up by 35 points. Also is 18/20 in SB attempts this year, after going 8/12 last year. Two straight seasons of 20+ HR's, will probably get two straight of 30+ doubles as well (at 28 now). And this is a guy with plus defensive skills in the OF. Next year he'd be 22 at AA. Playing at B-Ham is a big test. The jump to AA is often the hardest for hitters to make successfully, and it will be especially so for a guy like Trayce... his HR power will be tested in that cavernous park, and so will his defensive skills. Next year will tell us a lot about him, I think. This post is filled with good.

What baseball team do you hate the most?
Usually the Red Sox, this year and going forward until you know who is gone it's the Marlins. I want nothing more than to see that sob have continued failure.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 12:26 PM) She sucks. Boogie was brilliant but made alot of sense. I loved how every group was trying to build and alliance. Lost in the shuffle is Jen who is floating along with no consequences. Also, Brittany needs to stop trying to run things, her and Danielle are two of the dumbest people in the house and Brit is one of the worst players ever. I don't like Janelle so I'm cool with her going away. I haven't watched as many seasons as you guys so I'm not familiar with Britney's mishaps before but I think she's cute as hell so I hope she stays around for a while.

Sanchez, Rienzo and Keenyn all keeping up their awesomeness. And definitely nice to see Hector starting off solid in Charlotte as well.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 07:58 AM) Yeah, if he can manipulate people that fast, he's going to win for the 2nd time. He changed the whole game in like 2 minutes. Freakin absurd.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 09:29 PM) The guys just look lazy to me, they show up from the start unready to play. Thats what it looks like to me. Maybe they're missing some competitive fire in the clubhouse, or maybe the manager is not motivating them enough. remember when A.J. had to yell "Let's hit this piece of s***!", and then they started hitting? People say this crap when the offense is slumping, it's called baseball. We're missing two of our best hitters tonight and a s***ty pitcher is throwing a good game against us, so yes, they're going to look unmotivated, I guarantee that's not the case.

I haven't seen most of this game but it appears as if Guthrie actually has some good stuff tonight. I know it's going to be hard to get a legit answer here(since he's usually god awful) but has he thrown the ball well today or has it just been bad ab's from our hitters?

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 09:16 PM) A's have been bombing away with the long ball. I still get so frustrating thinking that they got Reddick and more for Bailey. Reddick bothers me for some reason. Very good player, just annoys me for some reason, can't even tell you why. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) AJ loses the grip a lot like that Bad inning from him. Sick nastyness from Jesse though!

QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 09:09 PM) I f***ing despise this team right now. Playing like this in the midst of a playoff run with a team right on your ass? Robin needs to change this lineup around when everyone is healthy. You can't be afraid to do it. Really?
