  1. RIP Joe Frazier. Any boxing fan no matter how old will have fond memories of either watching the Frazier-Ali fights live or being shown them as part of becoming a boxing fan. Classic fights and Joe was a true legend.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 08:58 AM) It's not about telling n o to Mark, it's about telling the GM/Chairman to pay him. He's not allowed to go play for Ozzie, just no.
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 11:07 PM) No Mark. No. This.
  4. QUOTE (whitesox901 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 07:07 PM) Sox are rumored to be at suitor for Josh Willingham. I highly doubt it because they would have to move Quentin and bench De Aza. Both moves I don't see happening. I think most of us would be shocked if Q wasn't moved so I gotta disagree with you there. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 08:49 PM) I'd rather play de Aza. Agreed.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 09:10 PM) I'll disagree here. The roughing was on Babins momentum, spencer was pushing downwards. According to Mike Periera it was a bad call. The last few minutes of that half were awful.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 09:59 AM) I think the Bengals did too Damn Saints cost my buddy $2700 he would have hit on a parlay...if they could have just converted a 3rd and inches at the end of the game they would have run out the clock and won by 8 instead of getting stopped and getting forced to kick a field goal and ultimately win by 11. I'm hoping the public will bet up the Eagles tonight...the Bears ml is up to 330... Ha ya, never thought the Bengals would be likeable but they really are. That sucks. And I heard that today. Once again, I do like the Eagles but these lines are ridiculous imo.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 10:26 AM) Big deal. Phillip Rivers threw 6 touchdowns in that same game. So close to 7 too! And I think Rivers reads soxtalk..."I'm not injured."
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 10:19 AM) Actually, the defense has gotten a lot better over the last few weeks. Most of the secondaries seemed to do a terrible job to start the season, and then tightened it up rapidly recently. The lockout seems to have really hurt the secondaries, so early in the Season we had Brady throwing for 500 yards a game, and yesterday he was shut out for a half. The Bears defense was better against Tampa, but Tampa isn't the offense that philly is, so I'm withholding judgment. They need a big performance tonight. Ya, the defenses are starting to come around a little bit. Balty and Pitt are obviously quite legit and the Jets are starting to look scary again on that side of the ball.

    I should be drunk in about 2 hours, just thought I'd give everyone a heads up...
  11. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 04:45 PM) The NBA doesn't have anything that matches the first two rounds of the NCAA tourney for me. Well ya, life doesn't have anything that matches the first weekend of March Madness.
  12. Like I said, I don't really care about the Bengals sos right now, I've seen every one of their games and they're legit. No point in arguing it as I'll just let them prove it.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) The Bengals are so not legit. They have benefited from an easy schedule and will continue to do so to the tune of 9 or 10 wins. That, however, doesn't mean they'll be a good bet this weekend +3 on the road against a decent team in Tennessee. They're so very legit. Easy schedule or not, that defense is for real and AJ Green is truly a monster.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 12:11 PM) I was listening to one of the oddsmakers on the radio this morning and they were saying the public is definitely going to drive the Saints' line up thinking they are going to come off the loss all fired up. The Bucs play them well usually...I think I'll take the 8 points. I think the Bengals are just much better than the Titans at this point. The line is saying they are two equal teams. I disagree, especially considering CJ sucks right now and the passing game has been stalled since Britt went down. I'd be all over that +3 for Cinci. The Bengals are legit.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 06:59 AM) Both games have their pros and their cons. I love em both. Ya, I don't think anyone in their right mind would argue that the quality of play is better than the NBA but there's absolutely nothing that beats the atmosphere and passion of the college game.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) Kane + Hossa on a line. Quenneville deserves a medal and a blow job. I thought J4L didn't like hockey?
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 04:12 PM) Was the worst season of basketball in the modern era because of the lockout or because the greatest dynasty of the modern era had just ended and the league had nothing to replace it? Like the Spurs glory years that started that year?
  18. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) I think I'd rather them wear the nut huggers of yesterday than the "shorts" that go halfway down their calf that some teams wear now. Basically, some teams wear baggy capri pants. Know any guy that looks good in capris? lol Ya, I think I'll stick with the baggy shorts...
  19. QUOTE (bulokis @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 11:37 AM) Pacquiao vs Mayweather in May 2012? I'll believe it when I see it but here's hoping...
  20. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 07:53 AM) Northern State 53, Butler 50 Arizona lost to Seattle Pacific last weekend as well, it happens.
  21. I'm more excited for this LSU-Alabama game than I have been for the last few Superbowls and the last few NC's in college football. Can't wait.
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 2, 2011 -> 11:02 PM) How many players from the 2004 champs did Theo actually acquire himself? Of the players Theo did trade for, how many of the prospects were drafted by the previous regime? How many of Theo's best players were proven roiders? Just off the top of my head, Schilling, Foulke and the Nomar trade were pretty huge in the grand picture of that championship No idea, if he used them to acquire the correct talent than good for him. And this 3rd point really means nothing.
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 2, 2011 -> 07:58 PM) Bears +8 right now. I might have to actually bet them. Yeesh. I like the Eagles a lot too but that's a ton of points.
