  1. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 01:36 PM) This is true. I do spend time on here associating with the likes of you. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 09:04 PM) FIRST OFF...touche. Second, what the hell do people do when they don't go out on Friday nights? I'm bored out of my f***in mind.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) Yeah...so Webb, Williams, Louis, Carimi. Louis is playing well. Williams is playing well. Webb is just a 7th round pick but yes, he's showing flashes of playing well, like last week. And no one is benching Carimi just yet. The Bears could blow a 3rd-4th rounder on their line or make a middling OT signing for depth. First round can go elsewhere barring career changing injuries. Williams had a solid game against the Vikings but before that he was playing really, really poorly. He's gotta string together a few good games before I change my opinion of him.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 02:10 PM) WTF, I typed Omifail instead of Carimi. I deserve scorn for this one. Kind of figured after I re-read your post, still deserved to be called out on that for making such a horrendous mistake.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) Depending on how the Bears' line performs the rest of the year...Omiyale, Lewis, Webb, and Williams is 4 guys who appear to be closing in on starter-quality, all of whom have been drafted in the last 2-3 years. You're not drafting a C in the first round and if you want a first round pick on the line, you have to pick one of those guys who you would be better off with a rookie instead of them. Depth would help the Bears O line right now...but I still kinda like this set of guys. They need some health and to keep working. Their guards look solid, Webb is still a Q but he did dismantle Jared Allen last time out, and Omiyale we haven't seen in a while. Omiyale is hot garbage. And I'd certainly wait more than 1 week to categorize these guys as starter quality.
  5. Ya, this thread definitely sucks...
  6. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 12:44 PM) I can safely say that I am getting old. Today I got my first paycheck after being unemployed for two months and bought a couple shirts for work and a coat. What happened to me? I used to be cool. You were never cool.
  7. Who knows, his s*** might work there. All I know is that it was time for a change here.
  8. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 10:27 PM) I would have fired all your asses. You would have been too busy posting yourself to do so.
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 07:47 PM) To be fair, I can't remember a single scene or line from the movie. I can't either. I'd literally reference the Title name because well...it's an awesome title.
  10. Fathom, Chisoxfn, Tex, Heads, Knightni, Sqwert, DBAHO, NSS72
  11. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 11:51 AM) I'm sure anyone in their mid-to-early twenties has seen it. You'd think so but none of my friends have ever seen it and I used to sarcastically reference it and nobody understood ha.
  12. QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 09:31 PM) Haha I like it, and it actually came in handy in the 9th. Ha, I'm with both of you guys, it is pretty creepy but definitely serves a purpose.
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 05:06 PM) Dont worry Rock according to MSU fans they are going to beat Wisconsin without Gholston. I've actually heard this prediction a lot and not just from MSU fans. I don't see it, I really don't think it's going to be close, East Lansing or not.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 07:04 AM) http://www.csnchicago.com/blog/whitesox-ta...mp;feedID=10338 Hahn for Mike Trout, make it happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 11:44 PM) I came close to putting The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon at number one, but I was afraid that it'd be taken seriously I'm happy I'm not the only person in the history of the world that has seen that movie.
  16. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 06:51 AM) I still say that KW is going to shock us all again - just like he did with Robin Ventura. I wouldn't be surprised if he lands a Michael Bourn or Justin Upton or a player like that this winter. Michael Bourn or Justin Upton, eh? Very comparable players...
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 09:56 PM) Thanks guys! The irony of beer smilies, what with me being 19. Man, you're only 19? I'm old. Happy bday buddy
  18. Heh, go Subway: http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballn...iet-was-no-joke
  19. Players on LSU apparently don't want to win the National Title...
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) One of these is not like the other. One of these does not fit. KEVIN LOVE. I win.
  21. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) This part I won't argue with, possibly even a few more. Russell's lack of a dominant offensive game hurts, if you're starting a team with him you need a big time perimeter scorer. To me, there's a big difference between saying he's not a top-10 player ever and saying he's Wallace/Mutombo (who weren't top-10 in the league at that time most likely). Ya, this is where I come in as well on the issue.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 01:46 PM) The only way to judge historical players is in the context of their generation, and in his, Bill Russell was a stud. Yup.
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 01:44 PM) Old school is like the 80's. The 50's and 60's were when dinosaurs were still roaming the earth. Babe Ruth? Another bi-product of his time. I'd think he'd be great in any era. But that era? Entire teams hit like 60 HRs. If that. You can't compare eras like that though, it's not fair as every player back than would have sucked now a days...I mean, Bob Cousy couldn't dribble the ball with his left hand.
  24. The skill level of this Hawks team is f***in scary.
