  1. Piss poor baserunning by the Phils there.
  2. Think the Rocks would trade Tulo?

Nada. Not much inside besides beer either.
  4. Obviously it was only 60 ab's but Owings ops was over 1. That's hilarious.
  5. I believe Webb is going game 4. I absolutely love watching him pitch btw.
  6. Why couldn't Sox tickets have been that easy to get in 05?
  7. What are you 60,61 now? P.S. I still get the pony.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 06:34 PM) Thanks Randy, as I was wondering the same thing. Gio and Sweeney were supposed to be our two best prospects (if not top 3) coming into the year, and the reviews for them weren't exactly promising. Gio was fantastic this year, Sweeney not so much. We don't have much reason for optimism in the upper majors, especially position player wise. There's some talent in the lower minors but obviously those guys are much more likely to bust and they still have a long way to go.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 06:27 PM) Unfortunately, I have to admit you're right on this. Can anyone seriously tell me that those 2 Yankees/Red Sox series from 03/04 weren't some of the best playoff series you've ever seen? They were good series but the drama lamas come out for those damn series. I hate the Red Sox so f'n much, I'd much rather the Cubs win the World Series than Boston. Ya, I said it.
  10. Well the reason we beat the Red Sox in 05 was because they couldn't set their rotation.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 06:21 PM) Just as back in 05, there's a chance that one of these 2 teams is simply better. Yup. The Angels.
  12. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 06:15 PM) Secondly, why is Tejada unreasonable? The only reason I can think of is Peter Angelos. That would be my reason. Trades haunt his dreams or something.
  13. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 06:08 PM) do not care go Halos Agreed. I saw nothing.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 06:07 PM) I actually think teams jump on Hunter/Rowand before Jones goes and at that point Jones contract may actually fall into the 13-15M range and if you got him to a 5 year deal at the low end of that it could turn into a steal. He's a stellar power hitter who will post an average OBP while driving in runs and hitting HR's (his numbers should be good in the cell) and playing above average defense in CF (which is a tough position to find production from). I truly think adding Jones (even if it meant the club had to move Konerko or someone else) would be a stellar move (assuming he's healthy). It was only one series but I just can't shake the memory of how much trouble Andruw had playing center in USCF in 03 I believe.
  15. Yikes, that looked like an awful call.
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 05:57 PM) I always thought Lacky looked kinda goofy, but I heard him talk for the 1st time a few days ago. Haha, good call.
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 05:48 PM) Lackey being hit hard already. Big that he got out of that only allowing that homer. Hopefully he can settle down now.
  18. Go Angels. Hope someone punches Josh Beckett in the face this series.
  19. I've been to one game at Wrigley, that was the game against the Sox a few years ago where they had to end the game in like the 6th or 7th cause the s*** hole a field can't drain water. Worst game I've ever been to(well that and mullet night last year), never again.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 04:33 PM) Letterman is the man. Bahahahaha, that was awesome.
  21. Ya, it'll take time, too many uh's and um's out of him so far.
  22. Rockies win and Aaron homers? I'm cool with that.
  23. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 11:01 AM) Andruw Jones. pfffft. Who cares? Let's stick to the real headliner free agents... I mean, Ross Gload is available, for crying out loud! Get it done KW! Gload+Graffanino=championship.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 10:56 AM) If he has to accept one of those classic "Boras 1 year make up for a bad year" deals, a-la what Millwood, Weaver kept having to do, I would actually be open to that. He wont have to.
  25. QUOTE(StatManDu @ Oct 3, 2007 -> 10:45 AM) THIS DATE IN WHITE SOX HISTORY: OCT 3 2005: The White Sox began their historic postseason run and ended their maddening home playoff losing streak with a bang in a 14-2 win over the Boston Red Sox in Game 1 of the American League Division Series before 40,717 at US Cellular Field. This matinee affair was over in a hurry as the Sox pinned a five-spot on the defending World Series champions in the first inning thanks to a three-run home run by AJ Pierzynski and RBIs from Paul Konerko and Aaron Rowand. Pierzynski homered again in joining Ted Kluszewski (Game 1, 1959 World Series) as the only Sox players to go deep twice in a postseason game. Paul Konerko, Juan Uribe and Scott Podsednik, who did not homer in the regular season, hit roundtrippers later in the game as the Sox won a postseason game for the first time in US Celluar Field ending a five-game skid which dated to Game 6 of the 1993 American League Championship Series. The win also halted a nine-game overall home postseason losing streak, which started with Game 2 of the 1959 World Series at the original Comiskey Park. Jose Contreras pitched into the eighth inning, giving up eight hits while striking out six for the victory. Ya, that was fun. I miss that.
