  1. Boo, Evansville hung tough but Miami is going to win.
  2. St Johns giving Texas fits. And Rex's Purple Aces up 5 on Miami at the beginning of the 2nd half.
  3. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) Row, Could you give me ratings on some Boston College players? Mainly the returning players: Jared Dudley, Sean Marshall, Sean Williams, Tyrese Rice, Marquez Haynes, John Oates, Akida McClain. Sorry it took me so long but here ya go: Dudley is an 87, Marshall is an 80, Williams is a 73, Rice is a 76, Haynes is a 66, Oates is a 63 and McClain is a 71. QUOTE(Be Good @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 10:41 PM) I quickly regiserted, but don't have Microsoft Excel, so I can't view it. May you please give me Georgetown's rankings? Jeff Green is an 82, Hibbert is an 87(one of the best rated players in the game), Macklin is a 75, Ewing is a 71 and Summer is a 69. If you want anyone else just ask.

I already got a 1600 dollar offer for one of mine, we're going to see if we can get more though(ya I'm greedy).
  5. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 17, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) Exactly which day were the Sox dead for the playoffs? For me it was the series in Oakland, you know, the series right AFTER Freddy almost threw a perfect game. Garland vs. Garcia IP: 211.1 vs. 216.1 W: 18 vs. 17 L: 7 vs. 8 ERA: 4.51 vs. 4.53 WHIP: 1.36 vs. 1.28 K/BB: 2.73 vs. 2.81 OBA: .328 vs. .308 SLGA: .460 vs..444 ERA+: 103 vs. 103 (For CWSguy, Cheat and qwerty ) Garland wasn't good last year either, in fact he was about as inconsistant as anyone but Freddy was worse. Freddy has also lost some stuff, is older and is under contract for less years. Garland is a better pitcher to keep around than Freddy, though if we can't trade Freddy, Jon is my next choice to go.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 03:56 PM) MLB execs have a short memory, and they saw how great Hill pitched in the 2nd half last season. Also, he has the great K/9 inning ratio going which is one of those golden stats that always raises a prospect's prestige. His k/9 has been better than Brandon's but Brandon's K/bb ratio has been better so far in the majors and was significantly better in the minors iirc(though Hill struck out a ton). Not to mention Brandon is more than 3 years younger which is huge when talking about pitchers of this ilk. Like I said, there is absolutely no chance that Hill has more trade value than Brandon, my friend.
  7. Seriously? Santana for Freddy? Where the hell do I sign? I would throw in a Fields as well to get Figgins if necessary, if we could somehow get Santana and Figgins for Freddy and prospect, just wow. Not to mention because Santana has actually proven himself to be a solid starter, we could go ahead and trade another one of our starters for a nice package of young pitching prospects, all of the sudden we have some pretty nice young pitching with Santana, Brandon and whatever package we could land for a Vaz/Contreras/Buehrle. This scenario just got me all giddy
  8. Yuck. I'll keep Juan thank you very much.
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) Garland shouldnt be going anywhere as we is one of the most consistently good pitcher in the AL the last 2 years. Levine is speculating, as usual. He was good in 05. Last season he was as inconsistant as they come. I've let my position be well known here, if we can't trade Freddy the next starter I'd like to trade is JG. He's really had one above average year in his whole career and he's probably our starter with the most value. We do match up pretty well with Texas and this just might be the team we get something done with.

Twas a long day but should be a very profitable one as well.
  11. Haven't had a chance to read through this thread but if the deal is right I have absolutely 0 problem with trading Garland.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 11:43 AM) Most MLB executives would take Rich Hill over McCarthy in a heartbeat. lol, there's no way.
  13. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) Row, Could you give me ratings on some Boston College players? Mainly the returning players: Jared Dudley, Sean Marshall, Sean Williams, Tyrese Rice, Marquez Haynes, John Oates, Akida McClain. I'm sitting at the computer lab right now and I have a long day ahead of me(yay ps3's) but when I get back I'll post 'em.
  14. I wouldn't be surprised if this was another case where Coop thought there was something with David that he could fix and let Kenny know, ala Thornton. This is definitely a wait and see deal but I trust Kenny's judgement even though initially I'm not a huge fan of this deal.
  15. If anyone thinks Neal can start, they're severely mistaken.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 16, 2006 -> 12:58 PM) According to my source, this Vasquez guy isn't a prospect at all. The same source that said Tracey would never pitch for the Sox again before he got called up? I'm just playin wit ya, but his number do seem to indicate otherwise, though I like to see pitchers pitch before I make any choices and I have not seen him pitch before.
  17. I really wanted to keep Neal so this trade irks me a bit. That being said, we got two good arms in exchange for one. And if Kenny's trade history is an indication then it wouldn't shock me to see one of these guys become a pretty solid reliever for us next season. Wait and see is the best approach here, though I'm sad to see Neal go as I still think he's a good reliever and will dominate the National League.
  18. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) Winthrop is a heck of a team. They are the unanimous pick for their conference and should be in the tourney with possibly a 12-13 seed. They have a couple of scorers that can go off in any game and a couple of legit big men. I was expecting a close game and wouldn't have been completely suprised with a loss, they are a very dangerous team. But man Tyler is something else. Yeup, Winthrop has one hell of a team. I agree, expect them to be in the tourny at around a 12 or 13. I'm sorry but as for Kansas, lol.
  19. I'm interested tonight to see how close Winthrop can play with the Tar Heels.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 09:30 AM) If we turn around and trade Anderson for an average prospect, that makes the Vazquez for Young trade turn from horrible to one of the worst in the franchise's history. It's honestly not a bad trade at all yet. We have to see what one of our starters turns into but the Vaz deal is what right now is allowing us to sit pretty this offseason. We have to wait and see what we net but that deal could turn out to be very good.
  21. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) that's cause drunk driving isn't a rating on the game. Well who would be better in that category: Mcbride or Tatum?
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 03:19 PM) I'm probably the person on here who has some of the most reasonable expectations when it comes to BA,\ Doesn't everyone feel that way about their own expectations?
  23. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) Gracias De nada.
  24. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 02:03 PM) What about the Marquette trio? And Lazar Hayward? Dom is an 83, Mcneal is an 81 and Matthews is a 77. And Hayward is a 70. Dom is one of the better rated pg's in the whole game. The ratings overall are pretty low as the best players in the game are only 92's(Noah, Big Baby and Fazekas). QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) Hey man, can I get some ratings for Al Thorton (12), Toney Douglas (23), Jason Rich (25), and Isiah Swann (3)? Thorton is an 84, Douglas is an 80, Rich is a 72 and Swann is a 77.
  25. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 15, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) this will pretty much be my thanksgiving break. I'm pumped. Am I going to have to kick your ass in this game as well? PS Young and Tatum are rated better than every Illini player in the game.
