  1. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 10:29 AM) My schedule says 7:35 start time, which is it? It's 7:35. Title has been changed.
  2. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 10:25 AM) Actually, if I remember correctly, the Cards complained about the same s*** against the Cubs a few seasons back. I can't find anything written about it at the moment, but a couple of Cub fans in my office just confirmed it, for what its worth. Whatever. If the Sox got the beatings that the Cardinals recieved in the first two games, they might be wondering the same thing. Its hard to come to the realization that your pitching may have been that bad. I actually remember that Cubs incident as well.
  3. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 10:16 AM) eh, I would rather have several guys before him. But Liriano is already a better pitcher. Liriano 7-1 2.17 1.06 WHIP .217 BAA Zambrano 6-3 2.83 ERA 1.26 WHIP .191 BAA According to your own opinion on pitchers, WHIP is the ultimate way to see who is the best arm. Well Liriano looks to be more dominant this year. He also plays in a much stronger Division, and is in the AL which usually adds a run to your ERA. This is also Liriano's first time around the league as a starter. Zambrano has proven for years now that he's just an unbelievable pitcher even though he's a psycho. Liriano is one hell of a talent but his numbers are sure to go up a bit once he pitches a little more.

    Pabelbon has been the best closer in baseball so far this year. BJ Ryan also has been better then Bobby but lately, Bobby has been as dominate as anyone. He's getting ahead of everyone, his velocity has fully returned and he's getting his curve over and because of that he's nearly unhittable right now.
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 02:51 AM) BTW -- without going too far off-course here -- now that one of the better pitching classes in recent history has graduated (Billingsly, Cain, Verlander, Liriano, Weaver, Hamels, etc etc), who is the best pitching prospect in baseball as of this moment? I'm stealing this idea from the Baseball Analysts, BTW -- but you could make a case for former Sox farmhand Gio Gonzalez as the best [pitching] prospect in baseball right now. Phillip Hughes is probably right up there as well. I feel like I've heard this conversation before.
  6. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 02:04 AM) Point taken, but how is this organization supposed to be a first class one when there manager is an embarassment? You have the right to think that way but Ozzie speaking his mind does not make him an embarrasment imo. He's never going to be politically correct but so be it, I couldn't care less about that. There are times when he could choose his words more carefully but when he's asked a question he is going to say exactly what is on his mind. I don't see how that's an embarrasment but that's your opinion so whatever.
  7. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 01:57 AM) The White Sox were the most talented team in the game last year, alot of the times the most talented team wins. Perhaps, it's harder to figure out why his job is so secure. The Sox were the most talented team in the al central 01-04, the sox were the most talented team in baseball in 03, before ozzie talent never won out for the sox.
  8. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 01:49 AM) only makes it harder to fathom why people want him in Chicago. Ya, this is so damn hard to figure out.
  9. Uh oh. Pedro Gomez has been reassigned to Roger Clemens.
  10. Someone needs to ask Ozzie about Dayn Perry.
  11. Just give me the 3.9ish era Cliff that he has been his whole career and that's a hell of a 6th bullpen arm and gives us a solid pen, 1-6.
  12. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) How far did Thome's shot travel? Might not have ended up that far just because it basically had no elevation but that ball was absolutely destroyed.
  13. There's Freddy's make up win from last August 23rd.
  14. Freddy, Bobby, Jimmy f***in awesome. HELLS YA
  15. GASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) That type of pathetic post is just not necessary. Better than being up with 2 on in the 8th. Thanks fathom, you're such a big help
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) That type of pathetic post is just not necessary. I'm very confused at shoota's post.
