QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 11:57 PM) i Hate Coco Crisp! WHERE WOULD HE PLAY! lol I LOVE COCO! How could you hate him? QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 12:34 AM) http://www.angelfire.com/droid/kalapse/Whi...Progression.htm Jenks is locked up through '01, Thornton '10 and MacDougal through '09 so I wouldn't worry about losing any of them anytime soon. It would be my guess that the '01 is susposed to be '10 since '01 was 5 years ago.

Superstitions. Which one will you employ to stop the losing?
sayitaintso replied to Hangar18's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I stopped doing all of the superstitions that i normally did last year, and so far it's not working out to well. -
Why not, at this point could he be much worse that buehrle or javy are?
-
I just miss winning.
-
I think that he will wear #8

Just throwing this out there, and not suggesting that this happen, but i think that the only way we would get soriano is a package of BMac, Pods, Josh Fields and/or Ryan Sweeney. I think Bowden would ask for at least that. With fields i think even though they have Zimmerman already that they could just move him to a different position now or in the future.

I was at today's game and i would say that it was THE WORST game that i have ever been too. They popped up sooooooo many times that it became shocking when a ball didn't go about 500 ft straight up into the air. The offense was non-existant but they did have decent pitching (besides the 9th of course). This kind of play is getting real old real quick and is very frustrating to watch.

QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 02:58 AM) Except... he's on Baltimore. I know but if you just glance at it and you read "Javy Lopez sent down" most would automatically think of the catcher over the pitcher.

My favorite pitchers are Shingo and Tim Wakefield. But off the record my favorite player during my lifetime is Coco Crisp hands down. -

QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) so is it ok to add a loss when widger is catching? Basically yes.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 06:33 AM) And yet even if that was the case I doubt KW would want him because of his "clubhouse" issues. KW still got AJ even though he was a "cancer" so you never know...

I am sad too see this happen but it had to be done. Cliff will always be remembered for his great 2005 season and i hope that he will put it all back together. -

Cliff now has a stellar 8.89 ERA right now. -
That says for next season. Is this trade happening now or in the offseason because ARow can become a FA if he doesn't excercise his option or the Phils don't pick it up. I'm talking about this season not the 2007 season.
-
Where would ARow play if we traded back for him? Would he replace BA in center then?
-
LOL this is hilarious. This will be another excuse from cub fans for the horrible season.

Hawks Finally Make a Move
sayitaintso replied to SoxFanForever's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) I love the deal. Havlat can be a top 10 scorer in the league, if he can stay healthy and be set-up properly. That's the challenge for the Hawks now, to get that #1 center to help set him up, otherwise it'll have to be Ruutu, and that's a lot of pressure to put on Tuomo at this stage of his career. I would love to trade for Scott Gomez of New Jersey. Won't come cheaply though. But the most important thing with this deal is that we signed Havlat to an extension, and he won't be here for just the 1 season. The Hawks did sign him to an extension. -
This must rank up there in one of the dumbest lawsuits ever. How can you sue someone for looking like you?
