  1. My guess to win the Cy Young would be Roy Halladay.
  2. I'm in, it's not like it was that hard of a choice though.
  3. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 05:37 PM) Do I have to stop dreaming about Crawford in LF? I would cut back on the Carl Crawford Kool-Aid while your at it.
  4. QUOTE(TLAK @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 08:37 AM) Could that someone be the White Sox? If BMAC starts next year there is an opening. As a homer, I hated it when Cal Eldred came back with the Cardinals instead of the Sox, if Cliff's shoulder is really fixed he'd be a great righty situational. He would be a good situational until he gives up a run or two, then people will say that his shoulder is still messed up and he needs to be released or sent down again.
  5. The current draft time is a problem (for me atleast) because i will be working at that time. I may be done working by that time but i am not 100% sure that i will be done before 10 so that i can make it too the draft. I don't know if it conflicts for anyone else.
  6. I will most likely wait to buy it until the price goes down to about $20 because i know i will suck at it anyway.
  7. I believe that my uncle bought his from grandstand earlier this year but i am not 100% sure of it.
  8. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 10:29 PM) So if we hang onto Vazquez and he rebounds next season (which I think he will, think of the Contreras situation all over again), we trade Garcia for some prospects (Cesar Carillo anyone?), and Young is a bust, is it still a bad trade? It's just too early to judge still IMHO. Doesn't this EXACTLY remind you of Contreras when we acquired him? I would be all for getting Carillo for Freddy, if KW can pull it off that would be sweet.
  9. QUOTE(Contreras @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 09:14 AM) He's as old as the hills, has no power, has no arm, gets caught stealing too much, and can't hit for average. The only thing about him that makes people look is that he can run really fast. Sounds familiar... He won't see more than a handful of games at the major league level in his career. If he does, the team that provides them will regret it. First off, Jerry isn't as old as the hills, he's only 25 so he's not ancient. Second he is 37 for 48 in SB's which equates out to a .7708%, not terrible, but not great either. He struggled earlier in the season with making contact, which is why his AVG is not where it should be for a leadoff hitter(we have a problem with that on the major league level too by someone who gets caught stealing more also). He has a pretty good BB to K ratio of 42 to 59. I definantly would not say that jerry owens is a waste of a player and has no hope.
  10. After yesterday's game i'm now starting to have faith that we could take the division from the tigers.
  11. QUOTE(mwjd299 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 03:49 PM) The Fox Announcers gave the "Player of the Game" to Kenny Rogers because all of Sox runs were unearned. That may be true, But the error by Carlos Guillen only extended the inning. Rogers gave up both key 2 out hits by Uribe and Anderson to tie the game. Whose fault was that? Anderson's average with runners in scoring position is only .146. That is a poor job of pitching by Rogers and he deserved the loss. Uribe had a small problem with the relay to PK but was not charged with an error because an out was recorded on the play. So one could say that the runs off Buerhle were unearned, but not officially. So who would you have given the player of the game too then? Im' just curious.
  12. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 09:45 AM) OT: Maggs needs a haircut. If he dyed that mop of hair red, he would look like Bozo the Clown. Or Bobby Kielty.
  13. I think that the marlins are capable of pulling off winning the wild card, but i think that huston will manage to win it again since they are only out 1.5 now i believe and have been on a hot streak going 8-2 in their last 10.
  14. Why would the daughter go along with it after the first time it happend and not say anything to the police about it?
  15. Im just curious as to what the draft order is or when it will be picked out.
  16. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 08:43 AM) What if one of the winners never claim the ring? Do they draw another number? I would think that they would.
  17. The US government won't legalize it because they aren't able to control the production of weed. I'm almost positive that if the government could control all of the production of weed that it would be legalized since they would make a huge profit off of it. Since they can't control who else grows it/sells it since it is not chemically created in lab related where only the drug companies know how to make it, i don't think that they will ever leaglize it.
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 05:29 PM) Somewhat OT, but anyway Sweeney might be ready to take a shot in LF for the big club next year, whether it be in April or maybe July if we made a trade that opened up a spot for him? Just curious, i'm not the expert that the people here are so I figured it was a good spot to ask. I would like to see him up next year but that is just me.
  19. I think that site is pretty cool. I wish there was one for the Sox's beer vendors.
  20. Upton got called up too BTW. He played today. http://www.rotoworld.com//content/playerpa...MLB&id=3872
  21. www.myspace.com/podzilla This is mine.
  22. I like it, but IMO I would add something behind the leftfield and centerfield fences, it just looks empty. Nice work though!
